This song is so early 2000's. The nostalgia I get listening to this is off the charts. It brings me back to being back in my buddies apartment in the early 2000's playing against each other on the Dreamcast.
I can see a theme like this fitting the aged Ken perfectly. He looks more laid back and chill in his character portrait in this game. This would make sense, as there is no longer any conflict in the series at this point in the timeline. No Gill, no Shadoloo, nothing. Not to mention, Ken even gets to spend some time with his family now. Any time he spends fighting is just time he's spending on his own free time to do whatever. He's just fighting because it's fun to do at that certain time. Unlike in the past, he's not fighting to win anything, he's just having fun. In past games, his battle music was much more intense, loud and fiery. But this theme is more calmer and chill, it also sounds less showoff-y. To me, this shows multiple things. For one, the change in pace for his themes represents how he has aged and mellowed as well as matured. He isn't fighting for anything and anyone, just fighting for himself. He's just having fun. And the calmness of the theme makes me think of how laid-back and serene he is in this game. I would like to point out that trumpet solo around the 1:01 mark. A single instrument takes the song as well as its audience by surprise and completely starts freestyling it. All in all, I'd say that this song fits this Ken perfectly. It shows the aged, and more mellow addition to his personality, without taking away his laid-back nature. Not to mention, its more serene-sounding qualities will also remind you of the fact that Ken isn't fighting only to win or for honour, he's doing this for fun on his own time. He has matured. He has a whole family of his own by now and everything, he has changed and he is no longer the cocky showoff he was in the past. Ken may have gotten older and more mellowed, but that doesn't mean he's any less of the martial arts professional that he used to be!
Dont just look at the past. In some years you will look back to when you were as old as now and you will miss that era aswell. Trust me, the future generations will talk about the current one, the same way youre talking about the 90s and 2000s. Every era is very special in its own way

I feel like this song just embodies the spirit of street fighter to me, epic jazz music with awesome anime characters beating the shit out of each other. Never gets old.
