Great video Dave, wonderful scenery and plenty of action. I just cannot get enough of your trips to the Highlands and Islands. Also nice to hear you have had some really happy news within your family. All the best.
Absolutely cracking spot, fed up with going to St Abbs as either it’s busy, the swells not right, it’s too windy, tide does not correspond with our free time !!!! and my son just wants to catch, so this looks ideal the point by Glen Coe I can guess but do you give pointers or or just general info ? Cheers
@northumberlandmountainhopper great stuff thanks for the comment 👍..the point I fished at Ballachulish is good for thornback rays...conger and dogfish too on mackerel baits...the other spot is near the campsite through the woods at caolasnacan...its a dangerous spot to access though as the path has steep drops...not ideal for children tbh...however I'm sure you'll find lots of good spots close to the car along the north side of he loch....hope you have a great time...tightlines 👍

Those Savage Gear rods are fab rods at their price point. So responsive and sensitive yet can chuck a lure a long way. Cracking vid and I know the area well but never stopped to fish it. Up there next week so will correct that oversight.
This is where i go all the time, kayak fishing around them islands are very fruitful and im heading up to ballacullish harbour in about a weeks time 👍🏼

Hi great video, we have camped at the campsite along from where you first fished from, and canoed along the side of the rocks that you were fishing from ,and caught mackerel, pollock ,cod, wrasse ,gurnard. and rays, its a magical place also fished across from burial island your second spot ,but as yet no joy , the little bay at the camp site is good for small sea trout on small spinners , can I ask you the make of your landing net and pole it is just what I am looking for. Again great video take care and tight lines. cheers Colin
Thanks Colin 👍 its a beautiful spot to fish ..a kayak would be superb stuff...its a daiwa rock fishing net...you buy the telescopic pole and then a net head...I bought a 50cm spro net head..I'll post a link in my next comment for you...mine was from predator tackle in the UK 🇬🇧
@@jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785 that’s good to know! I got one very recently but don’t have much experience with lure fishing. Was worried it was a bit light for cod and pollock down deep but this video puts that to rest!
That's incredible that you found your sister through a DNA test Dave you must be over the moon. Had you any idea you had one, and did she know she had a brother? Tell us more please, I find this fascinating.
we both had no idea at all...I done a dna test on ancestry and had a very close match with a girl that meant she could only be a sister...I messaged her and we got in touch...another dna test was done to confirm this and it was 100 percent true..luckily she lived on tyneside and we met up...I knew instantly as we both have so much in our past and present that we share...I can't go into family history on you tube as its a bit painful and possibly embarrassing for our parents but it's fantastic to have this big surprise in my life and at my age 😆..tightlines and all the best
