Honestly I miss this guy. I've never seen anyone playing anything that comes across him with so little effort absolutely perfectly. He doesn't even have to take a look at what he does, it's perfect anyways. Hopefully he'll post something original like Ichika Nito so we can take a look at what he can craft himself if nothing written by others seems to challenge him. Perhaps the best guitarist I've seen so far
@@tomahio Since I wrote this comment I've come to realise that it is not just about the technique what makes a guitar player really good or "the best". So you're right, he's not the best guitar player I've seen, but in terms of technique he might very well be
@@Reorganiser It's because it sounds virtually 1 to 1 with the actual track. His ability to match the settings of his setup to be so close to the original, as well as his perfected technique for that song is what you probably really like. It's what I really enjoy too.
Hahaha that is funny 😂 but bro smoke on the water does have a pretty slick solo by Ritchie Blackmore , can’t over look that ! But Damn straight Randy Rhoads was phenomenal 🤘🤘🤘
Good accuracy and well played man. Brilliant. Big randy fan here and he is the reason i started playing. Always used to tap the first four bars of second solo till i saw jake playing the way randy played it. Great video man

Watching you play this makes me realize just how actually insane Randy Rhoads was... I know there's video of him playing it live, but there's something about seeing you play it that shows just how technical you have to be to make it work
Are you a guitarist??? Just curious. It's not a knock, it's just not a technical solo...its a bunch of pentatonic and melodic minor stuff. Legato, some bends, vibrato, hammer ons and pull offs. All fairly basic techniques if you've been playing a while. His early passing has added to his legend more than his playing. It is very vanilla compared to a lot of what came out of the eighties.
@@everythingthatiswrongwithe8752 Tell me then why is it so hard to nail it live or even studio like this. I'm not a professional player, honest question. Even renowned players mess up this solo when playing live, like they can't achieve clean notes so they have to improvise.
@@kurtAdrive literally nothing he said was wrong. this isnt that hard as far as guitar goes. there is an entire world of technical guitar. this is the base of the mountain of advanced guitar playing.
Randy should never have gotten into that airplane 😢 Can you imagine all the great songs Randy would have created? Thanks for keeping it going with this cover of a awesome two part solo😊
Mind-boggling. I remember reading an article, way back when.. the story might've been apocryphal.. but, the gist: Eddie VH, was quoted as saying the the best solo he had ever heard, was a performance of this solo by Randy, at some club in LA, back in the late 70s, early 80s. This solo rips your face off, with its ferocity. But, then, soothes you with such melodic goodness. Love it! Kudos to RR, and Frederik, for such as awesome cover.
That was spectacular. Didn't hear a single mistake. A kid named Maciej Stelmach does a vid called ALL SOLOS FROM DIARY OF A MADMAN. He also does the Blizzard of Oz album and Bark At The Moon. He is flawless, perfection, and makes zero mistakes. His tone is exact to the record and it's a more professional production. It's amazing. I started playing hair guitar in 1985. I was 15. No internet, no lessons, and no tabs. All by ear and what a couple of buddies could show me. I also didn't have "it." That unbelievable God given talent that all top tier players have, Vai, Malmsteen, Eddie, Lynch Jake, etc. I had to work for years to get decent. These guys were playing like this 15 minutes after they picked up a guitar for the very first time. I had a friend who started playing 5 years after I did. Within that year, he was blowing my doors off. Some of these super advanced picking and fingering techniques are impossible to master for some. Even if they practice constantly. They will never be as smooth and precise as Yngwie or Vai. They can learn the patterns, but the speed and clarity just isn't the same. I'm still blown away at these young guys who play at this level and play the jams I learned on 35+ years ago. Just like Michael Jordan. No matter how much you practice, it's unlikely that your slam dunk will look like his.
You bastard, this one is sofa king hard to play in such a clean manner, your combination of right hand post-note muting and always avoiding "shortcuts" is just amazing!
My all time favorite solo... this and the outro to Tonight just seem like they can go on forever, ascending, descending, so beautiful! Thanks for this.
I had purchased a Fender american strat in 2017. It was my first ever expensive guitar and I was thrilled. But soon I noticed there were a few issues- fret buzz and neck issues. I was so disappointed that I had bought my dream guitar and it was sometimes unplayable. So I returned it back to the store. The shop told me in the 2 months since I had purchased the guitar they were going out of business and had limited stock they could return in exchange. I reluctantly took the Ibanez RG2550Z as it matched the strat price (somewhat) and went home. I didn't touch the guitar for years and tried to unsuccessfully sell it many times until I saw Frederick Bang play an Ibanez and recalled that it looks just like the one I have. I took out the guitar, plugged it in and wow.... Now I have a new found love and appreciation for it. Its not the guitar, brand or country of manufacture but what you make out of it. Thanks bro
