- It is February. With temperatures below zero during the garden turns into this beautiful frosty landscape. Plants covered with ice crystals, creating beautiful textures. Flowers of the violas and hellebores start dropping, but don't worry, they will be fine.
Now that the first Hellebores start to flower I am going to cut back their leaves and I will also show you how I protect my agapanthus against frost

Hello, beautiful flowers. We also have night frosts. Greetings from Poland. Aga
Thank you so much and welcome to my channel 🙏🌷🌸 Have a lovely Sunday!
I like how you made that nice protection for your plants. What colours have your Agapanthus?
Thank you, glad you like it 😊 I have white and blue agapanthus 🌸🌷
I did not realize that the Hellebores don’t need the previous season leaves to absorb energy to grow! While I watch at the newly 10.1 cm of snow that just fell overnight here in 🇨🇦, I love to see your beautiful garden and hear the birds in your video! it’s unfortunate mice ate some of your seedlings, but thanks for sharing that misfortune as I need to keep that in mind!
Thank you so much 🙏😊 I'm glad you enjoyed it, that means a lot.
Hellebores are evergreen, the old leaves can be pruned jan/feb, I usually prune them as soon as the flowers appear. When they have finished flowering new fresh leaves will appear.
We do not get snow here often and if we do it is a thin layer that lasts one or two days. Winter is mostly grey and wet.
My hellebore flowers have been like yo-yos recently with all the intermittent frosts. At first I was concerned but they do bounce back again. This is very helpful, thank you Linda 😊💖🌱🌸
My pleasure, I'm glad it was helpful 😊🌷🌸 Thank you for your kind comment, it means a lot to me 🙏
It looks a bit scary and sad when the flowers are drooping, but luckily they are quite resilient. Have a lovely Sunday! 🌸🌷
Hi, I was wondering whether you had sorted the fungal problem on your hellebores. How did you apply the sulphur? Thanks for the translations in the bloopers 😊😊😊😊
Hahaha, glad you enjoyed the bloopers 😁
I hope I have the fingal problem under control now, I haven't seen it yet. I used sulfur that I mixed with water and sprayed it on the base of the plants. I also removed a bit of the old soil. Fingers crossed it worked.
