      when do you divide them and how large are the pieces you cut into new plants. thanks! I have a mature one and nervous about dividing.?

      @LindasFlowersandVegetablesGard 8 месяцев назад

      I divide them in spring and fall. It' no way you can separate the roots by hand. So, do not dig out the plants, just give a big plant a crossing cut than dig the 4 parts out ,for mid size plant cut one into two when the plant in ground. I did many time, no problem at all.@@lizakates5115

      when you shear yours back you will be able to see how large the clump has become. if it looks like you could drive a shovel through it and get a couple nice chunks with roots and top growth then that means it is large enough to divide@@lizakates5115

    Hi Devin, I grow orchids and Hawaiian tropical plants here in Edmonds WA. I have a 10x20 green house that I keep them out in the summer time. I bring them inside my home during the winter months, with grow lights as well as humidity trays. I only use Roberta's bounty plant food. Oh my gosh, it's the best for awesome results. Thank you for your channel.

    I JUST ordered some! I had some landscaping done last year but didn’t pay for the company to plant the plants they suggested since I wanted more control over it 😂 they suggested hellebores for my walkway and I really love that idea so I ordered some just last night. Hope they arrive okay! I couldn’t find 5 in the variety I wanted locally so I ordered 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Always so helpful, thx Dev. I am near Chicago 5b now 6. My spring transplant of one hellebore has a flower now in Dec-Jan, picked up a couple more at Home Depot, should I plant now since ground wet and not frozen, or overwinter again and plant in spring like the first? Or test one in and one out? Gotta luv weird weather! Thx!

    What is the species / variant of the purple flowered plant at 00:50?
    I think the genus is spelled Helleborus. It's confusing since people refer to groups of plants within the genus using the different spelling Hellebores

    • @plantvibrations
      @plantvibrations  9 месяцев назад

      Yes I agree, it is confusing. You are correct, the genus is Helleborus, and the common name is Hellebore(s)
