What beautiful countryside. As an American this is a very different style of hunting. Having your shotgun loaded for you and all. Very much a wealthy hunt. Great video!
As a teen I used to beat on a few local shoots and the most expensive was £1600 for a spot on one of the gun pegs! No surprise seeing the shooters with custom bars in the trunks of their range rovers loaded with gin! ;)
Epic birds ! Driven shooting of the highest quality .
Thanks 👍
Well shot, Dave. Great selective shooting and it is always a pleasure to see a keeper demonstrate his skills by driving the birds differently when the conditions dictate but still making sure there's plenty of shooting across the line.
Thanks Colin, much appreciated 👍
Excellent Vid from down Under in NZ WE JUST FINISHED SEASON HERE Epic times had
Nice video, nice scenery.
Another superlatively beautiful shoot Dave. Those birds were all at expert + levels on the wind and you're shooting them as well as I've seen in any of your videos. The doubles on that third drive, especially at 9:40 were just classic. Our season will be ramping up soon and I can't wait. Thanks for this one, take care and best regards as always, Ed
Thanks ED! it was challenging 🥵
Very important opening words there Dave. 👏
Thanks i thought the same👍👍
Well dave third drive unbelievable, one you shot in Scotland and its landed in England, keep these flims coming always agood start to my day 👍 😊.
Thanks Mark! much appreciated! Difficult birds off difficult terrain, my head was hurting with concentrating that much trying to work them out “speed and angles” 😩happy days 👍
Well done dave an epic display of shooting in difficult conditions. You hit upon a point of the shot string being pushed of course with the wind.if it can move a bullet it can definitely move shot .the shot string must move like a banana in very trying conditions. You are top class shot to be able to pull birds down regularly in those conditions against the laws of physics. Good man keep them coming.
Thank you! it was quite difficult, something to look back on though 👌
Good day Dave,
This country side is so beautiful sloped hills and blue skies just breath takin. What a drive of birds and the wind for a brisk push of birds beautiful. I enjoyed this tuterial greatly it's been awhile since the last Dave and I will watch this one over a few...
Many thanks, it was difficult shooting 👌
Thank you for another great masterpiece of shooting Mr. Carrie. What an awesome scenery and that fantastic shoot with this windy conditions. For me it is always a kind of holiday when I may join you on your

Stunningly beautiful countryside, and as a new gunner i was amazed at the skill on display by all concerned. Many thanks for sharing it with us.

Dave, you've set the bar high for the fall/winter of 2023. Best wishes for many more wonderful trips afield.
Thanks, you too!
Would really like to go on one of these hunts.
What a rush!
Thank you 👍
Our pleasure!
Great video thank-you. Would really like to try game shooting one day!
Another great video Dave see that wind was giving you a little bit of a hard time. Nothing you can handle though.
Great video Dave on a beautiful estate. My usual question, what choke and cartridge combination> How do you propose to tackle the really high birds with just half choke and steel?
Keep em coming mate,
Cheers
Wonderful film
Love the video
thankyou 👍👍
Do many hunters use 20 bore guns? Do they shoot bismuth loads or just steel?
Thanks a lot, good video, I respect you a lot.
I appreciate that!
One observation that may be controversial, but I make it to be helpful, People don't bend well in certain ways! When one holds a shotgun with the C-Grip (Holding the side of the forearm), and you are swinging high to the right, it retards the swing of the gun! Modern forearms are much narrower than they used to be, and it has become quite fashionable to grip the forearm from the side and not from the bottom as we used to do many years ago (I still do by the way and have a better than average hit ratio as well). I believe that many would say that I am an instinctive shot (Churchill School), as one may say! The side-saddle grip (C-Grip) has become extremely popular in practical rifle shooting as well! Why, I simply do not (Maybe someone saw it on a video game and thought that it looked cool) know! Simple mechanical physics dictate that it is much easier to hold a somewhat heavy object from the bottom than it is from the side! I do agree that one looks much more Avant-garde when holding the forearm by the side, but confidentially, you've been sold a "Faux-de-Fad!"
I’m joining a syndicate this year I helped putting the birds out and making pens and feeding up
It is a lovely shoot. Great video. Interesting comment you made right at the start? We’re you referring to ES?
😉😉
Nice vid mate 👍
Thanks buddy, I see our pal is back😂he’s a secret shooter

It would be good to know what gun, cartridge and choke you're using, Dave.
3/4 and full 40grm 3s, looks like I was using my Browning Crown sometimes switch between the crown and my hybrid MK60/MK38 both guns 32” barrels
Hi Dave, great video. What was your choke / cartridge combination? Many thanks
3/4 full 40grm 3s
@@DaveCarrieShooting thanks
We in the States are pulling for the hunting rights of all.
Do them birds talk funny and bounce off shop windows ??✌️✌️🇬🇧🇬🇧
??
@@DaveCarrieShooting Sorry.. just an attempt at some humour 👍👍✌️✌️🇬🇧🇬🇧
@@MELLYBOY58 No problem buddy just trying to understand! I’m probably too thick to get it 😂
@@DaveCarrieShooting Keep banging away Sir ...good health and happiness to you✌️✌️🇬🇧🇬🇧
Seem to have lost your shirt and tie. Or is it de rigueur to shoot in a tracksuit these days?
If you had perhaps listened to the commentary on the second drive I do explain 😉
A touch of premature Texulation maybe 🙄 price of shooting these days you will soon be shooting naked 😂
@@peterbalac1915 No premature textulation. In the UK it is customary and traditional to dress smartly as a mark of respect to the quarry that you are shooting. You will note the other guns in the film are wearing collared shirts and in most cases ties. Its part of the fabric of a days shooting, If you can’t dress appropriately perhaps you should be doing something else. You will note it is only in the last few videos that Mr Carrie has begun to dress down.
