I’m taking my oldest son to England and Scotland for a father son bucket list trip to do several proper hunts and some fly fishing. Being American we really don’t get this type of experience here, so Matthew and I are doing it all the way including the proper attire, wifey laughed at us in our newly made tweed outfits, tried to explain its out of respect and tradition. We don’t care how many birds we shoot or not. We are looking forward to making some new friends, stepping back in time even if just for a minute and enjoying some traditions with brothers and sisters from a different place. We will surely look this location up!

Superb shoot at a really beautiful estate Dave. Those wide crossers from the first drive were just great and the birds kept on getting better throughout the day. I'm sure Des would've approved of the skill of your loader; the two of you were a pleasure to watch! Thanks for this one, take care and best regards as always, Ed.

This has got to be the best hunt I’ve seen so far from you, IMO!
I would love to be able to come across the pond to participate in a proper “English” shoot; drivers, dogs, loader and a pair of OUs! But alas, it’s too far out of my budget and so I have to live vicariously through your wonderful videos.
Down here in Texas I hunt dove, a little duck and quail, and also shoot sporting clays and trap.
A poor day out in the field shooting game or clays with friends is better than the best day at work!!
    Thanks for your videos!!

Looks a great place to shoot and lovely to see such well judged selective shooting only taking the best birds. I'm not surprised you were out of puff after that first drive, Dave. That would have warmed everyone up. As for best loaders, my best loader or cartridge stuffer is my wife.

It is a wonderful shoot and a stunning part of the country.
One question, did you have a different camera man?
It’s the first video where some of the footage isn’t as good and camera was all over the place. Felt a bit motion sick watching some parts 😅
Was still good to watch and this isn’t meant overly negative, if it comes across that way.
    All the best, Tony

Same cameraman just very difficult when double gunning for him to manoeuvre smoothly round everyone to get the camera shots.

Not many of those birds looked like they needed 4’s which in the BG and HPE ranges are a 3.5, the BG 5’s being a UK 4.5 also HPE would be just fine through something like a 5/8’s or 3/4 on a 34gram shell !

Thank you. I am always very impressed with your ability, and watching carefully you seem to quickly 'fling' your barrels in front of the bird, with no conscious judgement of lead, once you have matched speed of bird. I just think it would be very interesting and informative for those following your Chanel if you could have a Shotcam attached to your barrels one day, to give a better idea of your shooting process on high or difficult birds. @@DaveCarrieShooting

As regards the shotcam! In my honest opinion it can have a very negative effect on teaching on long birds as no two birds are the same and to show lead on one they’ve hit presumes the same lead is required as
