I’m am very curious to know how many people did with the lift blocks or RTZ “blocks” lift and have had no issues. I did the ford parts one lift and although the lift was very straight forward and easy to install I had issues with alignment. I took my van to off-road shops several times to get it right and it was just too far off. Drift was an issue and after wheeling there were always alignment issues. Maybe for a true grocery getter the 2in “block” lift os ok but definitely wasn’t for me pushing limits of a 2wd 2” lifted e150. As for background we have a lift and 4 car garage with more tools than most men could wish for. I say that only to express that we a lot of experience in lifts for our friends/family in our area. This was our first attempt at a van lift and it has not been issue free. Perhaps my expectations were too high. Anyhow as I mentioned in a different reply I’m moving on to the WT 3” lift for a proper lift of my van.

I have a buddy who has a Express van wanting a lift and I also told him to screen cap Weldtecs comment when he goes to them to try to get a deal. I studied the Express van lift kit from Weldtec. It's interesting. They do everything right with new spindles for the 3 inch express lift and when you look at the 5 inch lift it's only a few hundred bucks more and it appears it's the 3 inch lift combined with spacers.
I'm always studying the topic on lifts for my friends going on different routs.
The 3 inch WTD you're going for will crush the spacer lifts in quality and ride. It's pricey but done the right way.

This is like your 100th video of WTD vs Action Van and you didn't even really compare the ocotillo kit to the AV kit.
Ever since you got the WTD lift it seems like you're upset that you spent a big chunk of change when you "just want it to look cool in a parking lot". Theres nothing wrong with that, but if you plan to hit whoops in the desert or really push your van, wtd is the clear winner and worth every penny imo.

I looked it up on my channel. This is my 23rd video on this topic. I do these videos for people like my friend Chris at 3:02. A lot of people can't afford or don't want to budget a Weldtec lift because of the price. Action Vans price is what people can afford or what they want to spend on a 5 inch lift. I do these videos to give people the heads up and every time I make videos like this someone new messages me on Instagram or leaves me a comment thanking me for the heads up.
Most people who want to lift their van want to look cool in a parking lot. The people who do take these vans off road will do stuff similar to what me and my friends do and that's why I mix in off roading footage with Action Van and Weldtec vans doing the same trail on the same day. 7:15 that was some nice suspension Action going there and that was a Weldtec and Action Van back to back on the same path. When people wanting a Weldtec sees footage like that some say you know what Action Van is doing the same thing, same amount of lift same price. Let me get an AV and save money and they thank me for the off road footage.
When doing videos like this I know I will upset people. It's impossible to please everyone. I never once tried to talk someone wanting a Weldtec out of it I say right on man let me know how it goes and keep me updated on your van build. Sometimes people change their mind and say I'm going AV instead. That's why I made it clear in this video I don't hate Weldtec, one of my best friends has a WTD lift and I'm giving him my Fender Trim. I just love this hobby and want to see all my friends lifted regardless of budget. Some even have nice 2 inch lifted vans and it's all awesome too me.
I didn't have a 3 inch Weldtec lifted van to film but I do think it's a little arrogant that Weldtec thinks they are so great that someone will pick their 3 inch lift vs a AV 5 inch lift. I straight up showed their 5 inch lift vs AVs 5 inch lift on the same trail their best product. vs Action Vans base product.
I made a video on people telling me to stop making lifted van videos. It's like this bro. RUclips only pushes your videos so far. Like I said everytime I make a video like this it picks up new subscribers because it gets recommended to them. A lot of my old videos are lost in the archives forever. I'm just trying to help people out man. I try my best to give the most information I can in these videos and help people get hyped up about this hobby..
If you have a Weldtec lift go 100 MPH ion the Dunes man and jump it like a Ford Raptor. I'm sure Weldtec would love that footage for their channel. I'll even share it and say hey props to this guy I don't go 100 MPH in the sand because I don't want to break my TV and Microwave oven.

@@JohnDrivesAnything I get why you keep making these videos and I've watched probably all 23.
What would be really cool is if you took a AV and WTD and actually measured some objective differences in performance. Idk if you watch Tinkerers Adventure, but that type of style.
For anyone that can't afford to blow a few grand on their van this is my recommendation: Moog c880(s), 2 inch blocks, bilstein shocks, 35 splines + truetrac. That will outperform an AV kit and be cheaper. That said, I've taken my stock height, open diff, high top van through trails in moab that look much more difficult than anything in this video and been fine.

@@alexk6444 I appreciate you watching all 23 videos man. It helps my channel out a lot and whatever I make on youtube I use the funds to grow this channel.
I also appreciate your feedback and you not going psychotic on me like some people. I only have good intentions man. That's why I say most guys wanting to lift their van just want to look cool in a parking lot and maybe get to remote trails were they need clearance. The Action Van will do that for way less money then Weldtec.
I just want to hype this hobby up.
Unlike Weldtec and U-joints channel I'm just a lifted van fan so I hope feature stock vans, spacer lifted vans ,Action Vans Weldtec vans, U-joibnts,Quigley and 4x4 conversions on my channel. Show love to all sorts of vans and lift brands.
I have a U-Joint and 4x4 Conversion OBS showing up at the November Lifted Van meet and those dudes are going to smoke out 2wd vans and I don't care if people have something better then me. I'm a fan so I will show it all.
If you ever get a Weldtec show us your van going 100 MPH juming 20 feet that would be sick man.
As I meet friends with different lift brands and types I will showcase them all at meets and will do my best to do more technical videos. I do listen to the feedback reasonable people like you and the psychotic ones too.
If I am doing to much lifted van videos check out my Fiat 500 Abarth Videos. They only get 20 views lol. I make all these lifted van videos because for every 4 people that tell me to STFU on this topic already I get a hundred messages thanking me. Like I said man it's hard to please everyone. The people that do hate what I'm doing are free to make their own lifted van centered channel. I would like to see this hobby represented as passionately as Tacomas,Wranglers and 4 Runners

I’m actually going down in may to get WT 3” lift. Don’t want five but I do want a solid lift. Ran the 2” cheap ford parts one lift for about 6 months and I ran into so many alignment issue and it isn’t going to hold for even the 2 whee-drive wheeling I do in my ‘02 e150. I decided to bite the bullet and get a solid 3” lift. Willing to bet the three inch lift with a short body e150 is just as capable as the 5 inch lift on a long body econoline. Appreciate your videos a ton and am hoping to meet up at the next van gathering with you all!

@@ceasarmedina6510 When I got my Van lifted at Weldtec I had to wait a month to get in because they were booked. This was in 2021. I would call them to see how backed up they are if you are getting it installed by them.
Screen Cap the comment they left me. They are offering a waived core charge to my first 5 subscribers who mention my channel to them. It's a nice offer if you are out of state getting the kit shipped to you because you will spend $500 out the pocket less but if you are going to their shop to get your kit installed that offer doesn't help. So tell them you saw their comment on my channel and if they can offer some sort of deal. Doesn't hurt to ask !
I know a few people who have the FPO and it seemed like it was a decent product that people had no alignment issues with. At the end of the day though the WTD 3" is a proper lift. They are bending the I-Beams and modifying the radius arms to get all the Geometry right.
I don't know if you seen this video but this is when my friends van was on a 3 inch RTZ spacer lift and he was running the same trail as my Weldtec and My buddies Action Van on 5 inch lifts. Skip to 1:44 ruclips.net/video/aukPwEg2Gmk/видео.html
The short body of the E150 on a 3 inch is pretty much comparable to a extended on a 5 Maybe even better lol. That overhang on the extended is nasty! My back is sagging 2 inches lower then the front so I need to get a add a leaf to the back to lift it to be even with the front and help that nasty departure angle lol.
