- Another Pokemon Remix coming your way! :D
It's Gen 2 time today. Basically, I made this remix specifically for Red. Lance's version will be sounding different. What I wanted from this one was to keep it as epic as possible while still being fast-paced. I also made some kind of an intro with the wind and heartbeat sounds - to imitate that feeling when you're standing on the top of Mt. Silver, looking straight into Red's eyes. I hope the final effect will be satisfying :D
I do not own Pokemon. Pokemon franchise belongs to Nintendo and Game Freak. I do not own the art used in this video. All credit goes to its creator - Rafaken.

Crystal was my first Pokemon game and prior to that I knew nothing of the series so you can imagine my confusion when I get to the top of Mt. Silver and find some dude named after a color with a level 87 Pikachu.

I love that intro! With the heart beating and the wind blowing, making you feel like you're actually at the top of Mt. Silver standing before the Trainer himself, about to engage in perhaps the most intense and most memorable Pokemon battle of your life. Great remix. 10/10

I want an episode where Ash fights Red and gets absolutely wrecked.
Like, Red's Pikachu is related to Ash's Pikachu, A-chu uses Volt Tackle, R-chu quick attacks away, off a tree, and back into A-chu, sending A-chu through a different tree.
That sort of thing.
All without saying a single word.
After the curb-stomp, Red walks past Ash (who is being overly dramatic as if his pokemon being hurt isn't a common occurrence), and drops a super potion in his lap.
Leading up to that episode, have Red just be in the background doing stuff. Like buying from a store, lounging on a beach, etc. Have some other background characters notice Red and do a double-take before the camera leaves them behind.

0:00 - 0:30 player slowly walks through the unforgiving hail storm, slow breathing.
0:31 - 0:40 player arrives at summit and walks up steps.
0:41 - 0:50 player has arrived at the top, trainer Red slowly turns around.
0:51 - 0:55 moment of silence (camera slowly backs up with player and Red in shot).
0:56 - 1:18 (close up) characters lock eyes with fierce intensity, player & Red strike poses with pokeball in hand, ready for battle.
1:19 - battle start!
This is how I'd imagine my encounter with Red.
Not saving at the top of Mt Silver was the biggest regret of my 12 yr old self.

There are many legends in this world. Gym leaders. Island kahunas. Elite Four. Champions. The most powerful gods among the Pokemon.
And then there is the legend in human form itself: The silent Red, the world's strongest trainer, the champion among the champions, the human even the most powerful Pokemon would consider a challenge!
The kind of opponent I enjoy fighting the most! Fighting weaker opponents is no fun, fighting equal or stronger opponents is awesome and makes me become stronger!😍

Red is IN GAME no longer the strongest trainer. The new one is Cynthia with her lvl84-88 Team with perfect ev/iv and hidden abilitys. And Red would struggling against lilia (Hardmode) or leon (with an better ai)

@@nuggerchonk4240 red and gold look at poke balls flying in the wind they do the same exact thing but they still fly. They continue throwing poke balls untill they run out. Both red and gold commit suicide eventually falling off the mountain. PS: those flying poke balls were never found and they are still flying but the pokemon are dead inside
I remember getting to the top of MT. Silver in Soul Silver, saw Red standing there, not knowing him... and yet... I knew... that it will be the hardest battle I have ever begun... that our battle... would be legendary. He did not disappoint.
I remember the first time I fought Red in Heartgold. I grew up on Firered and when I finally scaled that damn maze of a mountain I remember taking one look at that sprite and said “wha-WHY IS THE OLD ME HERE?!?!”
And then he completely and utterly kicked my ass lol

Statistically, my Crystal Team was better than my Blue team
Statistacally I did twice as much as red did to get to where I was before I met him, I had twice the options for my team and twice the pick on the legendaries I could have added. Cus who's to say there isn't more than one of each legendary. Second off I made red my absolute BITCH when I first met him on mt silver didn't even need a revive or full restore. Man was easy money. Literally could not get past my Umbreon

I remember this battle... I had my half dead starter Pokémon. All my other Pokémon fainted with no potions or anything. Just me and my Typhlosion vs Everybody and that day he became my favorite Pokémon even though we got utterly smashed. We put work in on Pikachu and Blastoise before we fainted 💪💪💪
This may actually be as badass as the epic remix for Red. I'm definitely a fan! I love the Mt. Silver vibe. Makes you remember those last second hesitations before fighting the legend himself :D

I grew up playing since day 1 had both blue and red as my first games ,I remember watching my little cousin playing Pokemon gold years ago and he had no idea who trainer red even was and when i saw him pull out his Lvl 50 something Typhlosion i knew he was fucked

That was all I used than I got to the top of mount silver, saw red, and the battle started, I got wrecked, I trained up the rest of my team I didn’t use and tried again, and again, it was epic and engraved into me forever

My brother game me his old Blue version when I turned 10. We had grown up watching the TV show, when I was ages 7 and 8, and we got to see Pokemon: The First Movie in theatres.
He said to me, "Here, I don't need this anymore. I beat it and I'm going to beat Red version next. You're old enough to be an official Pokemon trainer now. I'm passing this onto you." He then handed it to me slowly with a serious air.
I bonded with Squirtle, my best friend during some hard years, beating the game over and over with fewer and fewer Pokemon in my party. I think I beat the Elite Four with as little as 2 pokemon (but I can't remember which pokemon they were).
Years later, I got Gold and Silver. At first, I was disappointed I wasn't in the same region and the same kid as the first one, but I got used to it since I liked the storyline, pokemon, and gameplay. Then... the moment I realized where I was, in Kanto, I stood there for a moment in shock, then I absolutely freaked. "It was like playing two games in one." I certainly made that clear to everyone I knew. 😅
It was the best surprise ever. It was pure nostalgia walking through those familiar places -- albeit a little changed from time having passed by in the storyline, but it was like revisiting your earlier childhood hometown after several years of being gone.
Then... this dude called Red was mentioned as the real champion, and that I had to find him. I was like, "Okay? Whoever he is."
When I finally found him... it finally hit me who he was. Those ears. That hat. I stopped breathing for what felt like forever. Oh my gosh. This was it. I was going to fight my past self, in a manner of speaking, but this time he was not me, but the spirit of Pokemon itself. I was facing the real champion, and I suddenly felt unworthy of facing him. I walked out of the cave, not knowing how to feel and what to do.
Thinking he was going to have all 100 level pokemon, I left to go train some more, returning when my pokemon were in their 80's level range. Good enough, right? Impatience got a hold of me.
it turned out a good match, but his Pikachu was still hard to beat. I might have been beaten 1 - 3 times; I can't remember.
When finally I defeated him, I kinda felt sorry for him. Here he, whom I thought was Ash all that time, strove for so long to become the Pokemon league champion and the strongest trainer in the world, had failed to defeat me, beaten by some outsider from far away.
I really want to see some huge game combining all the regions together, and I want to play as him once more. Because I can totally see him as wanting from that point on to travel the Pokemon world in a lifelong attempt to rectify himself, proving to himself and seeing to it that he does become the strongest trainer in the world.
But at what cost? Or to what end? I can see a plot twist, like when he has opportunity of becoming the strongest, he sees that it is impossible to become the strongest trainer in the world after all, because the strongest Pokemon in existence are not supposed to be captured, lest the Pokemon world would fail to exist.
As a child playing through Red version not paying any attention to or have any care when a trainer locked eyes with me... When I found Red atop Mt. Silver him locking eyes meant a completely different thing, the atmosphere, the famous "..." and then the music, it meant a lot to me as a child and still does as a 27 year old dude Lol - if only Pokémon could be that cool now.

I think I know why this remix doesn't have the millions of views it deserves.
The only reason this is my favorite Trainer Red battle remix is because of that sweet, sweet intro. But you can't hear the heart beat on most all speakers. I know it could ruin the effect, but next time bump it up a little more. Heartbeat only works on my beats :(
I always say this: If your speakers can't do the job, get a good pair.

This is in my mind the truest expression of the Pokémon theme in the entire series. It was also part of the opening for Pokémon stadium.
