On the Libby app, you can read on your phone as well. Don't have to have a kindle. Also, kindle has a phone app too! So you can have kindle unlimited without buying a kindle. Another money saver ☺️
This is very true - I love having my kindle with me away from my phone because I would get so distracted by my phone However I do keep phone nearby as I like to use focus music on phone to keep my concentration

I prefer reading on Kindle, too ! I agree with all your points especially about the font size. My other reason to read on Kindle is I read in two languages, and I love that it has a built-in dictionary. Getting a kindle absolutely changed the game for me. Being able to change the font, font size, and spacing made it 100x easier to concentrate. And not having to hold two sides of a book open lets me read sitting in any position.
I own a kindle since 8 months and its seriously a game changer . I usually get free time at night and kindle helps also i completely relate with bad eyesight point. Love your video.❤
I agree with you completely. Getting library books sent to my Paperwhite is a game changer. Plus there's no more lugging 50 pound bags of books back and forth. Oh and I can receive Netgalley ARCS now too.

Hello, New subscriber here. I’m a Kindle guy and have loved having a Kindle for the past two years. I just upgraded to the Kindle Signature due to sale and trade in of old kindle. My eyes aren’t what they used to be so I had to borrow books from the library mostly in Large Print. Zooming the font size up just like you Morgan is a Godsend! Since my family moves every few years I’ve switched to 100% kindle reading. Whether through Libby, Amazon sales or purchases plus KU,I’ve got so many books I can read. Currently I’m reading Unforgettable Secret (Amish Secrets Book 1) for my bookclub. Just started but so far so good. Looking forward to your videos!
i found my kindle again (i had owned it for around 5 years) and have started using it again and i have noticed i have been reading significantly more. you still can't beat a physical book, in my opinion, but it is definitely nicer on the go and i find myself picking up my ebook more than i used too with physical books. :)
I totally resonate with this sentiment!! as far as the reading experience goes, ebook is so much more functional for me but it will never totally replace that feeling of physical books - which I reserve for only buying my favorite books now 📚
I agree 100%. Also on the accessibility you can normally find ebook deals as a lot of them go on sale frequently. I usually just put ones in my wishlist that I want to purchase in the future and then the wish list on Amazon will actually tell you when a price has decreased.
I'm reading the bridgerton series right now and loving it! I'm on the third book and own the entire series on my Kindle. I do also use the Libby app and audible which is all great on my Kindle. Love that you are enjoying it!
that’s awesome - seems like such a good series! I have only watched the first season and have not read the books but I am so glad to hear such good things about it 💕
I have dyslexia so I read exclusively from an e reader and have done so since their inception. They are a game changer. Currently, I have a 6.8” Paper White and a Boox Palma.
thank you for watching and sharing your story!! it is amazing to hear that you are able to enjoy reading due to your kindle, I am so glad it offers you the accessibility you need!🥹🫶🏻✨
Physical books feel so nice, but Kindle is so much more comfortable to hold. Even when I am reading a physical book, I usually get the Kindle version from Libby just so I can read longer and faster and in more comfortable positions. Plus I can read on my phone if I forgot my Kindle at home. I won't give up books forever, but I am going to start going straight to kindle for books.
I am currently reading The Specter by J Bree. I love reading on my phone. I have the Kindle app. I use Kindle Unlimited, Audible, Libby, Hoopla, Overdrive (before it was discontinued). I agree with you. I used to carry a physical book everywhere I went. The problem with that is you can only read one book at a time. You also need a decent amount of light. That can be hard on your eyes. Reading on my phone means I can read multiple books, at any location. Kindle, Audible, Hoopla don't have the wait times like you have with the library (Libby). Also, changing the fonts, light, etc is really helpful. I also tend to listen to audiobooks and podcasts. I have a subscription to Spotify and just realized that they have a lot of audiobooks on there free for a premium users. This means that I can listen to the book right away (Audible as well) without the library wait times. Thank you for this video. It is really great to introduce new users to these awesome services. 😊❤📚
Getting a kindle really changed the reading game for me. After becoming a first time mom I had no time for reading. Once I got a kindle I was able to read while rocking my baby to sleep or even just read comfy and snuggled up at night without having to hold a heavy book and worry about waking up my husband with the night light. 10/10 changed my life.
THIS!!!! the kindle gave me back a sense of something “for me” in that season where there is so little time for personal hobbies. so many days spent “nap trapped” - it transformed from feeling trapped to being my favorite way to be, snuggling my little one and getting some pages in :)
Anybody who has moved homes a lot intuitively understands the benefits of a digital library. Beyond that, inline dictionary, translation, and Wikipedia are incredibly useful. I've read a few books recently that would have been much tougher without those ancillary features.
I use the kindle app on my phone but I like going into book stores and looking what's there because I feel like its sometimes easier to find new reads there. Being able to just have all the books with me on my phone wherever I go is so convenient
Just stumbled on this video! I have had a kindle about 10 years! I remember I was very anti ereader but was gifted it for Christmas and wow life changing!! I have an old kindle keyboard and a paperwhite(very old version) and I do have a kindle fire too. I have thought about getting a newer e-ink kindle with the new amber color lights but I do have a little clip on light that is in that amber color. I did buy the page clicker remote thing a few months ago - its awesome! I love that I can increase the font size very BIG for my terrible vision when I don't want to be squinting like I do sometimes when I read a physical book. Thinking about gifting myself the gooseneck kindle/tablet holder soon to upgrade my reading life another level! If the ebook is on heavy discount and so is the audiobook I like to double dip and do the whispersinc on my kindle fire where I can just let it play for me and turn the pages on its own. I read Dune like that a few months ago and LOVED it! I've also been curious about the reading experience on a Kobo ereader. And they just put out a new version. Looks NICE!
thank you for watching and sharing your kindle journey!! it definitely helps prevent eye strain for me too. yes the kobo color device does look soo good and living in Australia now, Kobo is what works with Libby so I may get one soon! if you like to listen to your ebooks, you’ll love my newest video too about how to turn any ebook into an audiobook to read to you 🤍
Thank you! I have used e-readers since buying the first B&N Nook years ago. I read before going to sleep and Kindle is easy to use while on my side in bed (particularly after fracturing my wrist). Also, and this may sound gross, but I don't have to worry about hygiene as much (e.g. washing hands after blowing nose while reading a library book).
Hi Morgan... Yes, I completely agree with the motivational factor for reading on the Kindle. Seeing there are only a few minutes remaining to complete a chapter makes me want to continue reading to reach the end. Or, helps me when I know that I can only commit to a few minutes before my next task. The Kindle Paperwhite was my first purchase, and now I own the Kindle Scribe. I find the Scribe great for reading at home, while the Paperwhite continues to be used while out because of its portable size. Can't beat the purchase price for ebooks either! Tsundoku is a Japanese term of slang for the strange phenomenon of purchasing far too many books that a person can't reasonably read in one lifetime. Currently I'm revisiting a highschool dystopian read called Metropolis, which was released in 1925. Have a great day!
due to my current living situation, all my books are in storage so my kindle is my prized possession. i love it so much. im currently just starting Powerless and just finished The Cruel Prince. i love Cardan haha.
Love the vide 🩷 Im a kindle girlie for ever and ever. never going back to physical books, i just cant handle owning so many things i love my space to be kind of empty now 😂 Im currently reading ‘part of your world’ I’m hoping it will lift my spirit after reading 3 awful books in a row 🙃
thank you so much for watching! 🥰 I feel like it has been so freeing to still get to enjoy reading but not have to purchase so many physical books too. I do like owning my favorite books but I don’t personally feel the need to own every book I read! 📚
Same. I primarily read library books on my Kindle, but I buy some books too on there. It’s great for my aging eyes because I can increase the font size. I haven’t read a physical book in a couple years now because the font is too small to read for me, but am constantly reading on my Kindle.
I fully resonate with that! almost any time I tried to pick up a physical book after switching to kindle my eyes can not deal with straining to read tiny font and I can’t focus on one sentence at a time!
I love my kindle. I just got really into reading again. The kindle is so easy, small, cheaper books. I do buy copies of favorites or ask them for my birthday. I like to hold a physical book once in a while, but I don’t have the space for a lot of books. I have a small collection of books because I really like collecting things I love, but I’m trying only to get/keep favorites, that I want to reread.
I am reading White Nights by Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Unsouled by Will Wight! I love my Kindle for many reasons, but I especially love that I can press on a word and see the definition. When reading physical books, I am usually too lazy to look up a word I don't know 😂 I also love to read big books on my Kindle, since they can be cumbersome in physical form. (Side note: I also knit and I crochet, as well!! I feel like we should be besties! 💞)
omg yes, I love that feature and learn so many words from it! I completely agree, big books are way less intimidating on kindle! omg no way!! that’s so exciting - we definitely need to be fiber arts and bookish besties!!
I love reading on my Kindle! I have two: one at home, and one to take to go. Its more convenient to read in bed, on the couch. It makes it easier to bring books whether its one or two I'm reading at a time, and helps reduces space in my bags, and backpack.
wow, TWO! 😂 I completely agree, it is so much easier on my eyes especially to read in bed on a dimmer setting, yes to not toting around hefty books! 📚 thank you so much for watching! 🌞
@@morganunraveled agreed! I was reading a book, and was struggling with reading it in bed. It’s one of the reasons that made me buy a Kindle. I have two (an Oasis for home, and a Paperwhite SE for whenever I’m out). It’s just so convenient to bring everywhere! Thank you for sharing! 🩷
Kindle books are so much cheaper and that helped me a lot while going through high school and recently university. I got to read so much because of it, also I'm not a native english speaker, so their dictionary and translate features helped me a lot when I was just starting to read in English. Nice video!!
thanks you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 🌞 yes I agree! I almost always borrow ebooks but when you do purchase it is nice that it is cheaper!👏🏻 really, that is SO amazing that it helped you with getting comfortable reading books in English - the dictionary function helps me learn many words even as a native speaker!🤍💫
I love reading on my kindle Paperwhite and i don't think I will ever go back to physical books. I am currently reading fake it till you make it and I really am enjoying it. Also kindle unlimited is amazing 🙂
I’m trying to be more of a minimalist. The kindle helps with saving physical space of many, many books. I have a few that I’ve kept because they are just beautiful books so I still have that peace of mind and my treasured few books on a shelf. The ease of switching books on the go is lovely too. Currently reading Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
I completely resonate with this! I love that I can read a book in a way that is more convenient, then only purchase ones I really love, rather than having to unhaul books I didn’t enjoy much.
I've had a kindle for years started with the 2nd gen standard version and mow I'm on my 6 or 7th fire. I have over 3000 books mostly fantasy si-fi space. i completely agree it is so convenient and nice because of the font size i too have a eye problem. it was also one of the few things i could take to work when i was a security Gard in the middle of the woods.
wow 3000 books is quite an amazing digital library!! 📚🌟 I love fantasy and scifi too, and I’m glad your kindle kept you company on your work shifts! thank you for watching and sharing your story 🌞
right now I'm reading shatter me and listening to the audio book happy people are annoying I habe always read paper books but this video made me convince my husband to get me one since my birthday is May 28! I'm happy I found your channel!
thank you so much for watching, I hope you are enjoying it! I love that - it is so lucky when both are available to borrow, soo immersive to read on physical and audio!! also the flexibility of being able to listen when you are trying to multitask!
If you really love books it’s nice to have a lot and then have loads on kindle too or return books. I get a lot of the 99p deals on Amazon for the kindle or 50p paperbacks which I return. Sometimes I use the library.
of course! I was discussing alternatives since the ereading community often seems to purchase physical, ebook, and audio copies of every title they read and that’s not accessible for everyone, but it’s also not invalid!
I’ve had a Kindle ever since the very 1st one. They’ve come along way since that clunky version 1. I’ve loved everyone I’ve had. Currently using a paper white and it gets used daily. I have several thousand kindle books. Plus 4 different library cards ;)
I have a Kindle Scribe but find myself constantly using my old Fold 3 phone or Android tablet which support a Kindle app. If you purchase a kindle ebook, and the paired audible book on Android, iOS, Fire Tablet, and something else (probably cloud reader) support "immersive reading". Immersive reading puts text on the screen and audio through speakers and as the audio plays the text is highlighted on the screen. Unfortunately current Kindle screens prevent actual Kindle hardware from supporting immersive reading. One thing I learned is you can only pair one audible book per Kindle ebook. So that I'm not stuck in the Amazon ecosystem I strip the DRM out of my Kindle and Audible in case I stop purchasing from Amazon so that I can carry my content over and actually own my purchased ebooks/audio books
Currently reading: Almost done with the brothers karamazov The red and the black - stendhal Return of sherlock holmes Beloved - toni morrison Yes, i apparently hate myself
When a book is in high demand at my library and a lot of people are waiting to read it after me, I download it on my Kindle. I put the device in Airplane Mode right away and I return the book on Libby so that the next reader doesn't have to wait.
thank you for watching 🌞 I still need to read that one, I really loved Happy Place by her! 🥰 I got it from a shop called EarthNativ on Etsy - I tried to go find a link for you but it says their shop is currently closed 🍁
I have only been here a month so have yet to see them but I am keeping on the lookout lol always checking the toilet and my shoes. the big ones that are seen the most in homes are generally harmless but I’m definitely scared to be surprised by one, and the actual dangerous ones are rare in the urban areas. I think it’s not any different than life was for us in the U.S. honestly, as there are lots of insects and dangerous spiders there too, black widows & brown recluse etc. we put down insect repellent in the doors and windows to try to keep them out of the house :)
I'm currently reading The Housemaid and I'm loving it! I've had my kindle since March of this year and I'm in love with it. I recently started reading toward the end of 2023. I have the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. Please share any other good books that may be thriller or fantasy. Those are the categories that I'm interested more.
Thank you so much for watching! maybe my newest video will help you find a good book recommendation - it’s me sharing my favorite books and comfort reads. almost every title is fantasy! 📖🪄✨ hope it helps you!!
other countries have restrictions with libraries/kindle compatibility unfortunately, I’m only just discovering that myself now that I am living abroad! thankfully, I am still able to use my library cards from the states to check out books from Libby to my kindle but I know that’s not everyone’s situation. with the ACT library in my Libby, it can’t go to my kindle only read in app. it does work with Kobo, but I don’t have one (yet!) 📚
I loved my kindle journey I started in 2011. I finally upgraded my kindle to the new paper white. I am reading part of your world by Abby Jimenez. And a new YA book called darker by four. I am the one who ends up with audio and ebook or audio and book form. But I use Libby quite a bit for audiobooks now. I have been working on not feeling the need to buy all my books because it’s bad. I feel like I need to buy any KU book I read. My main issue with Libby is my library is so small that I had to wait 5 months for an audiobooks. I usually only buy ebooks on sale. I rarely ever pay full cost and then if you have the ebook, the audio is cheaper. So if I use it that way, then I’ll pay less than 10 for both ebook and audio.
thank you for watching 🌞 very interesting!! reading on both is so immersive but definitely costly! I usually use Libby for audiobooks as well but I have multiple library cards as I mentioned so my waits aren’t usually as long. but for audiobooks they are always longer and I can struggle to stay focused with them!
Just tried having the ads removed for free, and Amazon says "they can't" do it for free anymore but it's still available to pay for, meaning, they won't. I think with everyone running from all the socials asking for it, they locked it down.
I find my self reading longer on my kindle or my iPad I can’t focus while reading on physical books I do enjoy buying them and reading them from time to time it’s just hard for me to focus because of the small size of the font, last year my sister gifted me a kindle and I was skeptical at first until I decided to read dune on it because I didn’t want to buy the books and I found myself reading for more than half an hour a day which was my limit per d
I’ve been considering getting one. I have an iPad and have been trying out the kindle app recently and liking it, but been wondering if I should just buy the actual device, since the lack of blulight would be better on my eyes. I have bad eyes like you and can totally relate to preferring a larger font size. I’ve found that larger font helps me concentrate more on reading and I can read faster as a result. I’ve always been a diehard physical book gal, but the ability to pretty much make any book into a large print book on the Kindle is kind of starting to win me over. I’m currently reading Into the Drowning Deep.
Into the Drowning Deep is one of my favorite books!! 🖤 the larger font helps me read faster too and stay concentrated on one line at a time. I read on kindle & Hoopla apps on my phone for a bit before making the jump to having a kindle too, but it definitely is nice having less distractions and a device devoted to reading! 📖 thank you for watching!!
any format that you enjoy reading is valid!! if it works for you to have them on both then more power to you!! I just wanted to discuss that isn’t the ONLY way to read ebooks, since it seems soo normalized on socials to over consume - which I believe is only a probably if it’s harming your wallet or space, causing you to unhaul often etc. owning books does bring so much joy!
yesss as much as i love love love physical books my dad has a job where he moves around a lot so having a huge collection of books or anything really is so not feasible. plus no one knows what ur reading i do like that a lot. books have no business having sizzling sexual tension embossed in gold on the cover😭😭😭
I am reading A Duty to the Dead as a physical book and Hazardous Duty on my kindle. The kindle is new to me, I always read on my phone or tablet but have found it very stressful on my eyes, the kindle is much easier. I have had my kindle 6 days and the battery is down to 64%, so I am not sure about the claim the battery last for months.
thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!! I think that happens to me when I am perusing the store for new books. that battery life claim is based on an average of 30mins of reading per day at no more than 50% brightness. so for readers that use it more often it decreases faster. mine usually lasts about a month! 🤍 if you have your brightness turned up high, are perusing the store a lot, and downloading books that uses up a lot more battery! I hope it improves for you once you have gotten all your books downloaded etc!! 🌞🫶🏻
I know Kobo just released an in-color ereader, and you can even do handwritten annotations! I believe Kindle has one in the works too. I really am thinking about investing in a Kobo soon too.😅📖
I love my Oasis. The buttons are the way to go. I mostly read fiction on it and tend to buy most of my nonfiction on paper. I don't trust them with e-readers. They could wipe your whole library with a push of a button. But would Jeffery B. do that ? Damn right he would. 😳
so glad you enjoy your ereader! I think fiction has been just as at risk of censorship, especially in schools, even more so than what content is available on ereaders! thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!
I am going to have to say, I am 100% Old School and I am books all the way. Never have read anything on a Kindle. That being said, I completely respect your choices and feel free to disagree with me!
Hi, my name is Jessy. Thanks for sharing your views on Kindle and why you personally prefer it. I've been wanting to join Kindle Unlimited, but when I went on their free trail years back, it still asked me to purchase books. It would only let me read books with credits or with purchase. Unless I signed up for the wrong one and got Amazon Prime Reading confused with Kindle Unlimited. Anyway, what do you think I should do?
thank you for watching Jessy 🥰 Prime reading is free for anyone with an Amazon Prime membership but has limited titles & you can borrow 10 at a time. Kindle Unlimited is a monthly paid subscription to get access to millions of titles, with many trending & popular books, can borrow 20 at a time. I primarily borrow ebooks from my library through Libby but personally love KU. hope this helps!💕
yeah it can be frustrating! I deal with that too. it really depends on your library, how popular the books are and also how much funding the library has to make multiple copies of trending titles available. I’ve started using Kindle Unlimited again and am able to find more popular titles available!
i read on my kindle 99% of the time. money saver, more travel friendly and just cuter since we can decorate them the way we want. current read: a good girls guide to murder
i completely agree!! so convenient & i love only buying physical copies of my favorite books! its so much more wallet & travel friendly. happy reading xx
it’s actually not! it is e-ink with a dimmable backlight. it is blulight blocking. way better for your eyes than our phones and computers are, which most of us are on all day. and way better for me than squinting to read tiny fonts on a page in a dark room, as most of my reading is done after my sons bedtime :)
Dang it. Another person who cant speak for more than a sentence without needing to jump cut. How do you speak to people in real life without the ability to cut every sentence!?
I have anxiety disorder and am very new to making videos. also I don’t do very well speaking to people in real life. thank you for watching, and I hope you can have a nice day and treat people with more kindness and compassion. 🤍
I only mentioned it in the effort of being transparent. I only ever utilize it if I have supported the author by purchasing a physical copy and I can’t afford to buy every format of every title, so many normalize buying every format even though it’s very financially inaccessible. I don’t see it as stealing when I already purchased and own the book and I would never abuse it, as I want to support authors and their craft. 📖🫶🏻

i found my kindle again (i had owned it for around 5 years) and have started using it again and i have noticed i have been reading significantly more. you still can't beat a physical book, in my opinion, but it is definitely nicer on the go and i find myself picking up my ebook more than i used too with physical books.
I won't give up books forever, but I am going to start going straight to kindle for books.
same!! I do this every time too. I need to be able to read on the go or in bed at night without a light!📚
thank you so much for watching and sharing your insights - so many good points and tips!!🫶🏻💕
I wish I could use a library on my kindle 😢 in my country that sadly does not work
oh I’m so sorry to hear that! 😭 what country do you live in?
Same :( Do you live in Germany too by any chance?

Libby/overdrive is only available on kindle in the USA
Anybody who has moved homes a lot intuitively understands the benefits of a digital library.
Beyond that, inline dictionary, translation, and Wikipedia are incredibly useful. I've read a few books recently that would have been much tougher without those ancillary features.
I completely agree!! 📖📚 thank you for watching!!🌞🌟
I totally and wholeheartedly agree. No distraction eReaders like Kindle Paperwhite is the nearest experience to reading paperbacks.
I agree! I love a good paperback but kindle makes reading more accessible and functional a lot of the time!
I use the kindle app on my phone but I like going into book stores and looking what's there because I feel like its sometimes easier to find new reads there. Being able to just have all the books with me on my phone wherever I go is so convenient
I agree! I love taking pictures of books in book stores and finding them to borrow on Libby later 😅
Also, and this may sound gross, but I don't have to worry about hygiene as much (e.g. washing hands after blowing nose while reading a library book).
yes I love being able to comfortably read in bed too! omg now this makes me wonder if other library patrons are as considerate..😅
I completely agree, and that fun fact about Tsundoku is so interesting!! thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts 📖💫
due to my current living situation, all my books are in storage so my kindle is my prized possession. i love it so much. im currently just starting Powerless and just finished The Cruel Prince. i love Cardan haha.
thank you for watching! I totally relate to that! I love the Cruel Prince series too! 🤍
hope this read is better than your last three - I haven’t read that one but I really enjoyed the little mermaid retelling “Sea Witch”!
Never thought of putting of putting a Popsocket on my Kindle, thanks for the idea!
yes it’s SO handy!! 🌟🫶🏻 thank you for watching!
I completely agree on all your points, especially only wanting to own favorites! thank you for much for watching 💗
100% agree! I don't buy physical books anymore.
I really only buy secondhand books these days or a copy of my fav books after reading on kindle 😅📚
I love my kindle. Easier to pick and choose what to read. Especially on trips.
couldn’t agree more!! honestly couldn’t imagine traveling without it! 🧳
Also kindle unlimited is amazing 🙂
same!! whenever I do read a physical book I also borrow the ebook because I need the convenience and flexibility to be able to read at night etc!📖
I really love the Shatter Me series, so nostalgic for me 🤍 thank you for watching!
I’m currently reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes via ebook on my kindle as well as on audio. Both were checked out using Libby 😊
thank you so much for watching, I hope you are enjoying it! I love that - it is so lucky when both are available to borrow, soo immersive to read on physical and audio!! also the flexibility of being able to listen when you are trying to multitask!
I’m reading When in Rome by Sarah Adams (on my kindle) and absolutely LOVING it. Seriously one of my new favorite romances!
sounds so good, I may have to check it out!! thank you for watching Caroline 💗
That is awesome! Thank you for watching and sharing your kindle journey!🤗
You’re welcome Morgan
So that I'm not stuck in the Amazon ecosystem I strip the DRM out of my Kindle and Audible in case I stop purchasing from Amazon so that I can carry my content over and actually own my purchased ebooks/audio books
that’s very interesting and informative!! thank you for watching and sharing your experience!🤗
How do you strip the drm from audible books?

wow sounds like you have a variety of reading options to me, a book for any mood reading 📖😅 thank you for watching!🫶🏻
When a book is in high demand at my library and a lot of people are waiting to read it after me, I download it on my Kindle. I put the device in Airplane Mode right away and I return the book on Libby so that the next reader doesn't have to wait.
that is so considerate of you!! 🤍
Currently reading Book Lovers by Emily Henry & loving it!
Also where is your sweatshirt from!? I love it 😍
thank you for watching 🌞 I still need to read that one, I really loved Happy Place by her! 🥰 I got it from a shop called EarthNativ on Etsy - I tried to go find a link for you but it says their shop is currently closed 🍁
Book lovers was amazing! Love that book!
Are there a lot of big spiders in Australia? I’m thinking of moving there from Canada!
Libby doesn’t work on the Kindle in Australia 😢
other countries have restrictions with libraries/kindle compatibility unfortunately, I’m only just discovering that myself now that I am living abroad! thankfully, I am still able to use my library cards from the states to check out books from Libby to my kindle but I know that’s not everyone’s situation. with the ACT library in my Libby, it can’t go to my kindle only read in app. it does work with Kobo, but I don’t have one (yet!) 📚
I just finished reading the Sheperd King series by Rachel Gillig! Super good! ♡
awesome - I should look into that then 📖✨
I loved my kindle journey I started in 2011.
@@morganunraveled I was able to find one more that is free and it’s much quicker.
@Tiffs-bookshelf ahhh so happy to hear that for you!! 🫶🏻
I feel the same way!! it is so much more conducive to focusing and being able to read more for me too 📖☕️
Currently reading the whole bridgerton series.😊
that’s so awesome, I need to catch up on the show!! 💗
FYI not every library has libby.
many libraries have some form of Overdrive or ebook library! but if they don’t then you could try another in your area/state 💛
Thanks I needed to hear this - I have been buying books even though I have a kindle with sthe many books I just miss the pages at times xx
any format that you enjoy reading is valid!! if it works for you to have them on both then more power to you!! I just wanted to discuss that isn’t the ONLY way to read ebooks, since it seems soo normalized on socials to over consume - which I believe is only a probably if it’s harming your wallet or space, causing you to unhaul often etc. owning books does bring so much joy!
yesss as much as i love love love physical books my dad has a job where he moves around a lot so having a huge collection of books or anything really is so not feasible. plus no one knows what ur reading i do like that a lot. books have no business having sizzling sexual tension embossed in gold on the cover😭😭😭
ahahahah you are too real for that 😭
I am reading A Duty to the Dead as a physical book and Hazardous Duty on my kindle.
Are they going to bring out a coloured version instead of black and white e ink?
Love reading on my kindle

I wish I could find Libby books available, every time I try to get one it's got like 50+ holds still waiting, sad
yeah it can be frustrating! I deal with that too. it really depends on your library, how popular the books are and also how much funding the library has to make multiple copies of trending titles available. I’ve started using Kindle Unlimited again and am able to find more popular titles available!

I used to read on kindle, but I've got back to read on paper because screens are bad for our memory.
I really think it depends on the person. I hope you are enjoying stories in whatever way is most accessible to you!! that's what is most important x
Kindle is bad for your eyes.
it’s actually not! it is e-ink with a dimmable backlight. it is blulight blocking. way better for your eyes than our phones and computers are, which most of us are on all day. and way better for me than squinting to read tiny fonts on a page in a dark room, as most of my reading is done after my sons bedtime :)
6:23 what a terrible thing to mention or ever do.
You don't get to define stealing. That is stealing. I don't care which format you already own and now many other types you want. It's stealing.
