Thank you so much for uploading this gameplay. It brings back so many happy memories of me watching my big brother and Dad play it for hours! Thank youuu :)
This game is clearly the black sheep of the series. It really sucks how they just immediately demote him back to a janitor at the beginning of the game for such stupid reasons. I miss Droole, Flo, Cliffy, WD 40, Beatrice and Spike. I really wanted to continue Roger's (mis)adventures with his crew instead of this.
Release date 2006?... You need to check your info my friend. It was released in 1995. And i am here to say that it is a pity that there is a whole generation that has absolutely no clue about this era. Space Quest, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Wing Commander, Star Command etc etc... Either way cudos for sharing.
Yeah, you are definately right about the release date. I just pull the details from the Steam page and that is probably when the bundle went live on Steam. Need to definately fix that. Cheers mate.
It needed a 386 with 8MB RAM, that was probably still an expensive machine when this game launched. Technology moved on very fast back then which often closed us out of the sequels until we levelled our rigs up. Discworld 1, Discworld 2 and Discworld Noir have a huge difference in their system requirements for example, so it applies to more recent games than the Space Quests too. After a decade it settled down - Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2.0 came out a number of years apart (5-6?) but on the whole a machine which could run 1.0 on decent settings could probably run 2.0 just as well near enough. VR support was added in 2.0 which of course pushes the recommended spec much higher. But like for like on a 2D screen there is not much between them really.
Had a copy of this, my dad bought it for me on our US trip. Unfortunately, the CD was damaged so I couldn't advance until after catching the ship (after getting rid of the terminator... )
It's funny, I totally forgot that I played through over half of this game in the early 2000s. I'm a lifelong Sierra fan, and it was interesting that I played through this game many years after it came out
The VA for the narrator was a long time voice actor that did a lot of those 60s and 70s era cartoons and the golden age of Cartoon Network type stuff in the early 2000s later. Gary Owens.
This game was very funny and I liked it better than SQ5... It starts off really strong with a great location, but then the settings get increasingly duller, IMO. Inside the computer filing thing is a nice idea, but it felt quite bland as a location in a space game, same as when you're in the stomach at the end. If they had gone to a bunch of interesting planets instead then I think it'd be one of the best in the series.
It's a reference from the Three Stooges - the really old TV show Stooge Fighter is based off. Even the poking in the eyes etc are things the Stooges did to each other.
2:55 it would be so funny if that happened to a female roger wilco like i feel tyris flare from golden axe would fare. She gets debriefed by her village and the king at the end of the mission. And she gets punished for putting the village at risk during her mission to beat death adder. And she gets declothed and her underwear thrown in the air just like roger wilco does.
This game has such a special place in my heart because I used to sit by the computer as a kid and watch my dad play, so I can’t help but love it.
Came here for the exact same reason so was nice to see this as the first comment.
Thank you!. My favorite childhood game. Good to see you again Mr.Wilco.

I love this game. Best childhood memories
Thanks for sharing. A bitter sweet ending considering the fate of the series.
They really need to reboot this series
a series would also be amazing
Loved all the sierra games about 40 years ago :)
This is the greatest game, of all time. Maybe, I love this series. Cracking.
Always loved the dark gritty atmosphere of this one
Got into space quest because of game grumps and watching this I honestly might do a full play through for this series
omg i love this game, hands down one of my favorite.
My favourite games of all time
Did the writers even play SQ5? Roger didn't save the Eureka, he blew it up and came back with the Goliath.
They did not know much about SQ5. This was made almost at the same time.

Considering how half the team wasn't involved really brought it down.
Ahh yes, the days of star travel in a jock strap shaped starship!
8:02,tense,love roger Wilco…….
superman vs batman, how prophetic
How sad that we never got Space Quest 7
The creators have actually been working on a game called space venture
Closest you can get to SQ7 is the fan game Incinerations, it's really not that bad.
Right from the first minute and a half... "Perpetrating a Sequel without authorization"... now that's a joke that will last for generations.

You should update the description then, it's not hard to find accurate information@@AdventureVault
The only Space Quest that i never played 😢

I have an original copy of the disc with the case and everything. I'll sell it to you for 50 buckazoids.
Just download it!
It’s the year 2000 your older brother is playing this on your dell pc…life was easy
Superman vs Batman, if they only knew
I always found it hilarious how Roger is so oblivious when women flirt with him.

How could you have done that when it was released in 2006 according to the info??... Did you play it from the future?^^
@Secular-hz9fn released in 1995. Maybe get a better source than "the info".

3 hours? Thats pretty big for an sq game!
I like this space quest, it was funny
Comment-sierra,Scotland……..❤❤.
Cider.
The narrator sounds like Nibbler from Futurama

49:11 dance Roger dance!
I think "he moidered you" is a reference from Rocky part one

Coldsorian brandy…….
unfortunately, the last! space quest game...
Where can I play this? 😂
sorry, no match to sq4 and sq5
Not to mention the first three, the best in the series
Not sure I'd agree, I personally think 3 4 and 5 are the best in the series.
Sadly this is by far the weakest title in the series.
I liked it :)
It's one of the best. The dialogue is funny and the talkie is fun
Respectfully disagree, SQ6 rocks :)
No, this one is the worst one. People who like this one didn’t play the others.
Played them all this one is in my top 3
Worst one in the entire series by far. It’s just so poorly polished and written.
Agreed.
