You are wrong about giving people daily rate price! Because you may own a 10.000$ car and rent out with 30-40$ a day. You should give people a more choices and make a price range based on car prices.

Thanks for the tips Aubrey. I had my very first rental come back yesterday. It was a great experience except for the time invested as I am offering free delivery to my local airport.
Raised my prices a couple dollars as I was reserved for the next 3 weekends within 18 hours of listing!
I now have gone in and Turo hacked the competition and see most charge 50-95 for delivery to the airport.
Long story short, I may try the no delivery available 24/7 option as I can do remove check in.
Curious thought that I will be checking after work today….
Can I set 24/7 available for pickup only and set a separate availability for delivery?

nice video tx! how do you provide a "unique" code to your guest in the middle of the night? Like my car is available and ready 24/7 and I get a book at 3am. Yes I have a lockbox for the key but I am not awake to go and setup the code for the guest. Do you have a generic code you put and you use the auto message to deliver that if you did not have time to set a new one? Thank you for the info.

I personally use a particular 4 digit code for each car. So like my avalon is 8019 and my spadk is 2345. And yeah, they can access it with that code auto generated whenever they book.

What if someone books ur car for right after a previous booking DURING that booking but then that renter extends his/ her trip. Would u just cancel cuz the car is not available. Would Turo dock u for this?

Hi Aubrey thanks for the video
I have a question about your 24/7 availability. Even with you having the cars prepped during the day to be ready for those 2am/3/am pick-ups, there’s still the manual aspect of:
    1. Verifying guest ID
    2. Giving them a lockbox code
I’m very interested to know how you handle this. This is the reason I do not have 24/7 availability. I can have the car as prepped as can be, but still would have to manual do this at 2am/3am.
Unless there’s something you’re doing that I’m unaware of?

    • @Music-mx4tt

Was gonna ask about this. Is it that they block the hours everyday before going to bed? And do they take picture everyday in case it gets booked?
Also, a video specifically for people who have other commitments and are not available full time for Turo would be helpful.
I’m 24/7 now and not getting bookings but my advance notice is se to 12 hours because I’m not home all day and I can’t let the car “ready” 24/7 since I park on the street and I use a lockbox for contactless check-in, and I would need time to take all the check-in pictures etc…

Audrey, thank you so much for all your great videos, we are just getting started out on Turo and I was hoping some of your videos would cover how you calculate your profit, we hear you talking about revenue a lot but not actual profit, do you already have a video like this? If so I am unable to find it, would you mind posting a link? I think others would be interested as well. 😊

I built a spreadsheet that tracks all the competition for my vehicles and update it weekly. If I notice I'm getting behind the pricing trend for competitors, I start bringing my price up a bit. Helps a ton with maximizing earnings.

Do you guys use the autopricing?

    • @qwoozy
      @qwoozy 6 месяцев назад

@@andyvicente-ul4tn yes and no. I still set my minimum (always above what Turo recommends, based on the average pricing for the segment of each car that I track) but I do allow Turo to adjust. It typically results in pricing that's $3-5 above what my minimum is, though I've seen it fluctuate a bit higher than that before.
