I have a 2008 328xi wagon with single hump, sport package, comfort access, xenon headlights and brown leather interior. Absolutely perfect spec to me. Just hit 200k, meticulously maintained and looks better than most cars at 100k. Nice review.
@@MineBossLT runs perfect, I expect it hit 300k easily. I just had the oil pan gasket replaced, along with motor mounts and some suspension work done. Drives like new.
Fun review! I have a 2006 e91 manual awd and can’t imagine selling it. At 262,000 it still purrs and I’m hearing that it should go up in value over time due to its rarity. The best thing I did was install the lemforder (stock) front end kit on it. The steering is as tight as new now.
Hey Jonathan, I'm an international student from NY and I also just bought a 200k mile straight piped 6speed manual E91 wagon, I would like to know more about your build, lmk how can we connect
great video, wish there were more youtube reviews on the E91 but you nailed it! I bought my 2011 out of state, deep sea blue metallic over saddle brown interior, single hump (no nav), sports package. I swapped out the previous owner’s suspension and put on ST coilovers. man, what a joy this car is to drive. i daily mine and couldn’t be happier with it. 17k miles in 7 months! excited to throw on 359 competition wheels on it in a few weeks.
@@Str8Steez I went with the ST X coilovers. I only paid $254 for the labor which included an alignment, perks of working at a car shop :D should take a good mechanic 3.5 hours and then 1 hour for an alignment.
Forgot to mention the cargo covers dual capability of sliding into the backs of the rear seats when flattened and that the net can connect to the ceiling for more covered space for canine friends!
I drive a 2011 E91 with 80,000 miles. I bought it with 60,000 miles and I haven’t had any trouble with the car! It’s fun and practical which is what I needed in a car. My one gripe is that the rear seat legroom is pretty pathetic and it is the reason why a mother of 2 sold it to me. The car is also a bit low so some dirt roads I crawl going down, but that’s not where it was meant to be driven
I bought my 07 wagon off a guy who said he needed more room for the kids. I was thinking, “more room? It’s a wagon”. Then I sat in the back seat. Anyone over 5’9 can’t fit back there
@@BC_E91 I’m 6’3 and so I have my seat all the way back and my friends really don’t fit in the back when we all carpool like we did in my old Chevy Malibu Maxx. Realistically 98% of the time it’s just me in the car so I just leave the rear seats down so I can load up more stuff
Minor correction: this is not the last German MT wagon sold in the US. VW was selling them until 2020 (AWD and FWD). However, this is the last RWD or rear-biased AWD wagon with an MT ever sold in the US.
I have 2 E91’s 2007 RWD with coil overs, wheel extenders for wider rear tires w/ 227 657 miles. Auto, NO infotainment system, Alpine White. 2011 Xdrive standard all around W/ 177 178 miles. Auto, NO infotainment system, Titanium Silver. Truly are Sheer Driving Pleasure.

I’ll trade you! My e91 is green with brown interior and manual, i used it a few times to haul from menards but my van worked better for transporting drywall and large things. What truck u got?
Looking into buying one of these which would replace my old mini truck. Outside of sheet materials, are these good enough to haul a few 2x4’s and maybe 8 foot long 8 inch wide boards?
@@jontansgarage 8’ long studs yes if you open up the passenger window. But 8’ wide? I’d recommend you buy a work trailer and install a hitch. I use my e91 for construction but you don’t want to damage the leather interior.
I am debating on getting one found a 2011 with 139k on the odometer. For a decent price black exterior and black interior. Now from my understanding you said it's the N52 inline 6. I thought it would be the N55 inline 6. If so does it really have port injection then? Cause I don't want to mess with direct injection. It's nice but creates its own problems when not pair with port injection also.
Your car has a beautiful color. I love the seperatly opening tail glass. But (like you) I always forget to pull the cover down before closing it. In the facelifted E91 the cover does not open automaticly any more. You have to give the cover a little tip and then it will go up. Maybe you should not have replaced your hood with a post-facelift one. It seems to have left quite an unsightly gap over the kidney grill. But thanks for your interesting video.
how has the car been? reliability wise? im looking to purchase one to daily commute , not to track or abuse . it has 63k mi and very well taken care of and im planning to run int to the ground.. how has the color of the interior held up ? what have you used to clean it ?
My experience has been very positive. Repairs have all been reasonable, especially if you're willing to do them yourself. Certain interior bits like the door handles don't hold up very well, but everything else seems to age very well.
What's the driving position like? MY E93 feels like you're sitting on the floor with your feet out in front of you like a sports car. Is the wagon/sedan more upright?
Anyone with this car have a leak that goes into the passenger footwell when going through a car wash? I thought I fixed it with some seals under the cowl. Nope, still leaking. Not as bad, but still leaks.

Check the stripping/rain gutter molding along the roof and body panels. When they get plugged it will expell water in footboards.
6 speed manual for the winnn
Geeez he’s so rough with the trunk section 🥴
Just a quick note. The car should have ZF 6 speed auto, not GM. Otherwise, great video mate :)
actually depends on the year.
Rear wheel drive is better. As far as a divers car.
