For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
we used a D9 for laying plastic pipe, you guys make it look easy...cheers from New Zealand
We use to use a Case 2050M
We used to do it with a Chamberlain 9G.
Well I had to knock these fenceposts in and I didn't have a hammer so I just used the tools I had to hand. D11 blade anyone? Damn posts are flush with the earth! ;) Great stuff! Team J!
In 2015 Telstra used 3 tractors to lay down fibre cable, and you used one. You are saving more money. That other mob used Nº 3 tractor to cover the cable. All the best.
Your days comin. Great quote Pete
Matt , never overkill with the D11s , You could use them at christmas time for cracking walnuts etc , keep up the good work and keep an eye on Peter , keep Him out of harms way .....cheers ...
Thank you for sharing
Unbelievable amount of force and energy
💪🏆🤗🙏🇺🇲
For next time, perhaps digging a starter hole would be a good idea, gives you something to lower the blade and boot into before you start ripping, preventing your issue of shearing bolts by lowering too quickly. It also means you can connect to your main pipe sub surface, or in the bottom of a manhole to protect it all. That’s the method I’ve seen a lot of guys use for laying tile and pipe elsewhere.
You are correct, good advice. I ran a fiber optic cable plow for a few years, we practiced the exact method you speak of.its also peice of mind knowing there are no humps or shallow areas in whatever you've just installed
Did anyone else butt pucker up when mat gave a bit cheek when ole fuller had a bit of Polly pipe in his hand 👍👍🤣
there are purpose built D8s for mole ploughing pipe so I think the d11 is a fair machine for the job! here in Ireland we use tractor mounted mole ploughs for pipe and it works great. we dig a starter hole so you're not putting as much strain on the unit as well as holes for each connection, last thing anyone wants is for the connector to pull apart and fail
I liked Phil's son backing up the tractor with a trailer on it like a pro. City kids would have no chance of being able to do that.
Awesome little set up
Thanks! Got there in the end😂
Good job guys, the old boy will be happy with his new water supply.
Well that's went well after teething problems!! Just tooooo many horses and weight for the piplayer, looks like the piplayer is designed for about 100hp Not 850hp 😃😃😃 hahaha!!!
The drone work is well done too Matt!!!
Glad you all got all your issues figured out! You all be safe and God bless!
Now you've figured out how to do it, Dads going to want pipes everywhere now.
Always a learning curve but you all enjoy these problems and solutions job well done
I'm amazed by the soil there, it looks good
Where are you at? What's different with this soil from yours?
@@dans_Learning_Curve mate the depth , there aren't many places with good deep alluvial soil
You are very trusting putting a joiner in the pipe and feeding it through the pipe layer , we tried it and as the stretch went out of the pipe it pulled the pipe out of the joiner it was fun digging sloppy mud and water to add a metre of pipe with a second joiner because it had parted by 3 centimetres and flooded the area with water for 24 hours before it was found
When doing your initial plunge wouldn’t it be better to kick the ripper back so the main ripper is taking the force and once your at depth pull the ripper back to vertical so the attachment isn’t seeing any of the force from the plunge.
Amazing job guys thanks for sharing Matt
Gday Matt great video, some people here put a one way air vent at the top of the line in case of a water leak at the bottom causing the water to drain back and the pipe to suck it’s self together, if you haven’t already done so. Thanks again
Beautiful!!!! Thanks for the content!!
That 3508 sound though 🥰👌💪💪
Hi Matt, a nice D11-job, but, for future generations, did you map the pipeline, on papaer or a digital map ? (include the joints!)
Brilliant video. Not overkill.
Great filming and music.
Non stop pipe laying 1.2 metres deep by over a mile long?
You will never hit that even with a subsoiler!
That creaking on the ripper sounds like my back when I get out of bed in the morning😆
Can we see a court marshal for whoever welded the tube to the ripper please!
Great stuff guys love these videos.
Ron
Jobs a good one🤗👍🏴
Come on people, HIT that like button!
I'm pretty sure Rusty had a great day.
If you have larger pipe (with ears ) have it for the rear support of the down pipe. with some flat bar with holes ?? 1 1/2" from the sides of the ripper should support it without welding to the ripper? Have 3/4" Gr 8 ready rod . Something quick and easy to make.
How maybe hours do you go between oil changes on the d11? Do you do oil samples to test if it needs replacing before swapping it? How many gallons of oil does it hold?
Note to self: Pre-rip first, that way there is less strain on the boot and you also would have probably worked out your path and any issues that arise before laying the pipe
Takes to long😂😂 something doesn’t seem right about pre ripping with a d11
One and done with an 11! haha, great job guys!
Had to pre rip about 10 times in tough going with the 9G till had the good idea of putting the Chamberlain 4080 on the front. Went well till the top link on the 9G bent like a banana. Jeff
Not overkill at all, possibly pre rip. Great video again boy's
Haha the only time a machine is to big is when it is bogged.
Hope the rocks don't rub holes in the pipe. Fixed lots of holes where the pipe moves as pump cuts in and out.
Jobs a goodun eventually, Matt.
I'm fairly sure I saw that ripper tooth sail past my kitchen window here in the UK
Fantastic work! Shame you couldn’t get longer rolls of pipe
Dirt perfect has some competition now😏
Is that pipe not wearing off the chrome on the hydraulic ram
Hi Matt, Another great video ... I see that "MZ Mechanic" likes your material too as he is using your footage in his video "Extremely Dangerous Biggest Bulldozer in The World | CAT D11 Bulldozer | Heavy Equipment Machines" hope he got your approval.. 😏😏
Thankyou and thanks for the heads up! I’ll look into it👍😁
Great video. Nothing like using a D11 Cat to install that water line. Might want to check out Dirt Perfect's Chanel. He built one to install drain tile for his John Deere 450. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
DP did a really nice job building that plow!
We have been laying poly pipe here since the mid ‘60s that way. Not many people have done it with a D11 though.
Matt, you should know by now that there is no such thing as overkill were a D11 is involved.
Don't you mean underkill? LoL 😂😆
Better to have a bit of overkill than to live to regret having underkill.
Overkill? Call it assurance of intended results. I mean you could probably get by with like a D7 or so, but why risk it? 😅
You should look into Eletrofusion joins. They are great, supposed to be stronger than the pipe.
You are dead right or butt welding when the pipe contract's it might pull out due temp and backfilling
Expensive and slow.
@@jefftheaussie2225 Jeff this is what I do for a living it is a lot cheaper than a repair at that depth you know nothing of what I was trying to say buy the way I am a working Aussie with a lot of experience
@@jefftheaussie2225 cheaper than fixing it. Run the pipe out and weld together at the same time then go back and plough it in. Easy as.
@@greghenwood8094 Good for you.
Sound of a D11 engine sounds similar to a freight locomotive
No fusion joints
My dear old dad used to say that if it works, it's not overkill.
Why not? 🤷♂️ When your done laying the pipe, you can drop the front blade, and reverse all the way back to where you started, fill the trench back in, done 👍😁
Nice soil profile and surprised at the moisture.
We lay pipe with a tractor and a spinner on the loader hoisted so as it runs over the cab, to get 800 ^ we pre rip an initial pass.
It would only be overkill if you used two D-11 together 😂😂😂.
I think your just trying to make Mike from Dirt Perfect jealous🤣
Exactly! What would DP do with a D11?
@@Michael_CS615 D11 wouldn't be much use to DP, be too much trouble moving it between sites
You guys have everything but a water well drilling outfit.
Matt how far u laying this pipe
Do you end up with a sore neck driving the dozer ?
Which drone do you guys using for areal clips?
Hi mate, I use a mavic air 2 predominantly😁
Hope your pipe is thick wall mm else if buried in Rocky soil over time it will be punchued and have leaks … takes a few yrs
Not a over kill if you have the equipment
Why arent you butt welding the pipe no chance of a leak
Palm A there are no rich farmers just farmers with an almighty debt. Give it a try and find out for yourself
The life of rich farmers 🙃
Hard working farmers doing a great job 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇦🇺🇦🇺☘️☘️🍀🍀
Rich farmer would just pay somebody to do it ! Doing jobs yourself is how you can afford to build your farm
Silly thing to say.
Sounds like a greenie to me.
If it works and works well then it's not overkill
Waww se jeant fontastic good working good machine bulleduzer thank you very macht majic 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💪💪💪💪💪💪💪🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿
