I think Destiny is wrong about the Jim Crow era not being an apartheid. It was a systematic segregation of a racial group to maintain dominance by restricting civil and political rights. America's Jim Crow is basically a 1 to 1 comparison with South African Apartheid.
🧠
NOT EVEN CLOSE lolzzz NOT EVeN CLoSE buddy
Do you understand there are SOME some white southies that never EVEN SEEN a black African in there ENTIRE life! Lolzz
For it to be 1-to-1 with apartheid, whites would have to be the minority. Jim Crow and the overall legacy of slavery and race relations in America are another specific history.
Not sure what the context of destiny's determination on that topic is but if I had to guess I think he'd say the distinction as to what level of government something occured on matters. Apartheid was a nation-level program of discrimination, Jim Crow was a more local/state-level occurrence which was not necessarily enforced from the top down. Not entirely sure what the official exact def of apartheid is tho so maybe it doesn't matter.

A left winger using the word "liberal" as a label to assign to someone that they disagree with is so baffling to me. It seems to be a pretty good indicator that this person has fallen off the deep end.
Well yeah, he’s a literal commie.
Perhaps further confirmation of the horseshoe theory.
Classical liberalism is quite literally the modern conservative position. Ben Shapiro for example is technically a classical liberal. I guess the modern distinction here is that they're not socially progressive or regressive and just exist to impede change which is why it's used as an insult by both right and left wingers.
@@googane7755 but liberalism is a pretty broad group of ideas. Very different governments can both be “liberal”. @mackswellgg Nobody is against the idea that civilians people are dying. What they are saying that the word genocide might not be the best definition
Destiny expresses exactly my frustration with using the extremely heavily loaded term of "genocide", especially when it was immediately labeled genocide the very instant Israel decided to respond. At this point, every war is a genocide by their definition. It totally dilutes the meaning of the word in my opinion.
You mean the way the left has done with plenty of words or phrases to the point they get angry when you bring it up and act like haven't been screaming the word or phrase up until your conversation with them.
It's been diluted beyond belief. By invoking this word at every opportunity, the anti-Israeli people achieved the exact opposite of what they intended: making their accusations carry no weight. There's nothing beyong genocide guys. You can't upgrade this word to something stronger like Goku turning Super Saiyan. Enjoy popping a blood vessel trying to come up with something stronger though.
what is their definition of genocide?
If you want to play the game of semantics, then even what happened in old germany was not a genocide. By that standard, there was never a genocide in the past few hundred years ( not sure about prior )
As long as you hold the same standard, then I don't have a problem.
However, if you want to take the relative meaning of the word, then what's happening now is genocide. Same as what happened in germany. etc

You can't look at this staggering death toll and still consider them a collateral damage. I mean, you can- that's what Destiny certainly does- but since one has to tiptoe around the term Genocide and use words carefully, I'd argue that the collateral damage fails to describe the current situation as well
@@Stenochtawwhen Hamas is forcing civilians to live and remain around rocket sites and weapon depots, the blood spilled is on their hands.

As someone who really disliked Israel before and Zionism and thought Israelis were just crybullying by calling people antisemitic, this whole debacle did really black pill me and now I very much agree with them that people are either antisemitic or blindly following antisemitic propaganda.
Israelis very much crybully by calling people anti-semitic. Palestinians biggest gripe with Israel is occupation and ethnic displacement. If you look into Destiny's discussion and most pro-Israelis, they constantly divert the topic away from the core root of this problem. Occupation, displacement, and subjugation is the root problem. Yes, it’s true the case will take years to resolve itself, but the ICJ actually ruled that Israel is prone to committing genocide because they now occupy over a large amount of people and they must be obligated to minimize civilian casualties and let more humanitarian aid…Identical to my position. The only evidence they seem to have are politicians speaking… which is evidence, but it never was a Trump card in the case. The Court never said there was anything like that going on at all, and given how hard they fought against the case, it’s likely they will comply with the ruling.
You are contradicting yourself when you say you can do genocide without killing people at all ,because you did say that earlier in your paragraph , it involves killing people based on racial and ethnic factors. @@gregoryreynolds3612 many of them don't want to leave their homes. But like I said, they're not always inside when they die. On top of that, sometimes they're already fleeing when they die. Hamas' hq was under a hospital and they're known for randomly firing out of buildings at israel. I love this constellation theory bit.
So there’s concepts that we’re calling constellation. But these concepts are built up from talking points. Those talking points gain their authority from a social convention where things are just cohering together.
They seem to go together so they often get used in ways that are more based on the authority of conformity as opposed to your own mindset applied to it in the form of internal agreement.
So you inherent implied positions that are tied to values.
You become part of a constellation like an implicit membership almost.
So when someone expresses a proposition to support their opinion, they are ultimately emoting.
