- The very last redesigned Smash 64 character! How exciting! I made a lot of changes this time, hope I made some you weren't expecting. I think I'll take a small break now that I finished 64. Let me know what you guys want to see. It doesn't have to be a redesign, I'm also down to do a new design. Is there any characters you want to see get in Smash? I'll make a moveset for them.

Apologies for responding late. I haven't been feeling my best lately. That's why this new video is taking so long.
Personally, the only thing that I would change about Jigglypuff, is that I would have rest heal a small amount of damage only on a miss though.
Don't get me wrong though, your move set is really cool
It was like that at one point but I decided on the more extreme decision to just make something new.

I think the problem with this is if this actually happened, it would be a problem for Puff mains (such as myself) for finding a new main if they don’t enjoy the new Puff. There’s no one really like her, so there’s gonna mains who are really used to her old moveset. But besides that, pretty epic.
Definitely a risk you take with any redesign, but that's why I'm careful to retain the core playstyle. I think Puff can still do a lot of the same stuff as before, even if you have to do it a slightly different way. Like rest combos now lead into uproar. And it doesn't kill as early so Puff wants to find more sings. Generally I like to add tools or emphasize a different part of their existing tool kit :). Except Little Mac and Sonic I'm throwing those designs away and starting over.
RIP HBox lol. But in all seriousness, this was a really cool moveset. As for future content, I think it would be sick if you made complete newcomers, similar with what you did for Steve. As for who, you might be expecting an iconic character with many games to their name, but... TOO BAD WALUIGI TIME
Waluigi has so many good fan movesets that it's a bit intimidating to try. But I was thinking about throwing my hat in the ring and seeing if I can add something original.

Hmm, I love the idea of changing the main. I am sad that Nair got change tho, that a small loss for me. I do have some ideas tho.
More Fairy moves! (Like Dazzling Gleam, she a fairy type and the only one, so it makes sense to give her attacks base on her new fairy type.)
A new victory screen! Let say Jigglypuff K.O someone with her final smash and gets a unique victory screen like Joker. The player would be sleeping on the ground (more characters will appear depending on how many people are playing), with scribbles on their faces. Then the camera will look up a little and see Jigglypuff singing. Then it would fall to its side, like the Cameraman sleeping.
Finally, a costume idea, Jigglypuff will wear red glasses with her shiny colors. A reference to the Clefairy minigame from Pokemon Stadium.
Nair would be a bit different but at least it still lingers and edge guards well.
I wanted fairy moves too but also wanted as many sound moves as possible, so I compromised with Disarming Voice.
I really like the costume and victory animation! Very DLC

This looks so so fun! Only thing that was a bit confusing to me was N-Air. So as it grows weaker and bigger... does it still kill? If so, the initial hitbox must be *really* strong.
Yes! The late hitbox CAN kill, but mostly in the "you got sent too far away and can't recover" type of way. The initial hit is monstrous though, it would be the strongest nair.
Puff was pretty relavent when it got picked and still is somewhat relavent in some areas. People often undermine what role it had.
I haven't seen them use puff for anything since the anime.
@@sleepyswampert when it was 64, the animr was a very prominent source of how important one is(it still is but to a lesser extent. Puff got 2nd placr in the1998 japanese favourite pkmn poll which is similar to what the general public still recognizes. If we look at pkmn promos from the late 90s and early 00s puff was the other pokemon used for promos beside Pikachu of course, even in the burger king pokeball promo incident, puff was the other big pkmn in the promo. Which should be an enough reason for it to be in 64. Mewtwo was also a strong contender, but if they had equal importance but puff was easier to implement it is an obvious choice.
For the more modern times puff has seen less representation but thats really the same for most pkmn we see now.

Pkmn conquest also had puff as onr of its main characters
Puff is one of the few pokemon to have a perfect entry record for mainline games, it also has a perfect (or maybe it missed one or 2 idk) record for spin on games
I probably forgot a few to mention here but whatever.
This is a significant amount of specs I can already thinj on top of my head and I can add more arguments to this
It is better recognized by non pkmn fans for example you will have a far larger chance of getting an answer out of anyone asking what is jigglypuff than what is idk lucario? Or most other pkmn.
To me it seems pretty clear that jigglypuff is still relavrnt and had a reason to be put

True, I should think of another character I could give a move like Rest to. Hopefully one that makes a bit more sense.
I think Ridley should also have aerial smash attacks
I think this moveset is really cool, but I was hoping to see a pokemon in smash who made use of the items in pokemon, and my idea was that would be Jigglypuff's thing because she's the "throwaway" pokemon in smash right now
I agree. I also want to see the Pokemon items but Jigglypuff wasn't who I went with
I say make Rollout landable in Air and replace Pound with Dazzling Gleam because she needs a Fairy move, also a new Up Smash. Then she’d be straight fire 🔥
I mean she already is despite her slight flaws
What they should do with rollout is make it go in a flat quarter circle in air and it’d move a little more gracefully. This makes it good for attacking opponents in air when they’re anything below you or if they’re far away from you on ground. Also more safe to recover.

That's a pretty neat idea for rollout! I wanted to make a sound based moveset though so I replaced it to make space. Disarming voice was my pick for a fairy move too.

Also think the thing is a sound base moveset shouldn’t go to Jigglypuff and should go to someone else like Chorus Kids or Danchan because Jigglypuff already has a unique archetype and wouldn’t work nearly as well as a rhythm character as some other potential ones that would represent melody games and have a wide variety of rhythm and sound moves. . Also it’s either Jigglypuff would still the potential of other great addition or she’d be outcasted by those other additions. I’m sorry if that came out as harsh.

Don't worry you're good.
Making her moves sound based doesn't mean I got rid of her archetype. They still play like Jigglypuff, but with new stuff. I wouldn't mind if chorus kids came in. But Jigglypuff wasn't redesigned as a rhythm character. It's not like you need to time the special moves a certain way, they just simply use sounds to attack unlike anyone else in the current roster. The two designs can coexist.

I've grown to hate Jigglypuff in Smash. She was included as a clone to pad the roster and a joke character, which was fine at the time. But she isn't relevant at all and only returns for legacy reasons. Her moveset is one of the plainest and least inspired in the game, which is understandable given her negligible source material. If she does stay in Smash though, I think she has to keep the current Rest since it's what made her so iconic.

Sleepy Swampert It’s not just that he is not a big deal, it’s that he’s actively disliked as a character in the FE community. Smash Roy and FE Roy are completely different characters, especially with Ray Chase’s voice. His addition is really only there for melee nostalgia, like most problematic smash bros things lmao
