I spotted the inaugural flight to New York. The 2 hour delay did really feel like a lifetime. Good that it did not arrive 2 hours late, and you did not have to wait so long. This was an amazing review, keep it up!
Great video! I'll be flying to Oslo out of LAX in September. I believe they start their flights from LAX in August. Question, I will be using my underseat luggage that I've used for most airlines in Europe. Do you believe the space is super tight or strict with their requirements? I'm always paranoid about my underseat fitting in any plane (domestic or international)... never had a problem but one never can tell. Thanks in advance!
That price was such a bargain for this flight. I think the price you paid for the food was expensive though. That rainbow moodlighting at the end of the flight was magnificent, it'd be more beautiful if you see it at night.
Did you happen to notice if JFK had a self baggage drop? We have a long (11 hours) layover and have to recheck our bags. I'm worried we will have to wait 7 hours for an agent to show up for us to check our bags in for the flight. This is the only flight going out of JFK for Norseair so I wouldn't think there would be a gate agent until late in the evening.
Check in opens around 4 hours before departure. There is a bag storage at JFK either in T1 or T4 (cant remember). You could take the train into the city which takes about 20 minutes each way from the air train and spend the day there.
I have a flight on the 25th and am bit worried, I have a connecting flight with a 3 hour 25 minute layover in oslo. I see that they usually are delayed 1 hour from JFK. You mentioned 2 hour 30 minute wait through customs, and I see other people say 2 hour wait at passport control. is that only if you have baggage and non eu countries? Ide only have a carry on.
That’s only for non-EU countries but I only had a backpack and No checked bags. Also they gave priority to those with connecting flights so you should be ok.
@@theplanesguy I don't think it's about EU/non-EU but Schengen/non-Schengen. Norway isn't in the EU but it's a part of the Schengen area (=free movement zone in Europe)
Nice report. Let's hope they can make it work. It will help them if the meals choices show dietary information. $22 for a Pot Noodle and a tiny Baileys isn't the way to do it. That is pure rip off.
Nice flight footage.

thanks for the video. We're flying Norse from Oslo to JFK the end of August.
Great report, I appreciated the extended Q&A with the COO. Very interesting.
Thanks! That was actually with the CEO!
Did you feel ear pressure during landing ?
Wow, what an awesome TR👍💕
Do you know of any updates to them getting TSA - Pre? Thanks.
As of now they still don't support TSA pre
Sweet! I am excited for this one! Now please please please fly into Edmonton!
I just flew in and out of there a few weeks ago!
Awesome inaugural! Looks like a fresh interior. Poke!

Very informative review. I am about 1,95 m tall. Should I book an extra legroom seat or the normal ones will be fine?
Thanks! It would be a good idea

@@mikrokupu They had the EU passport self scanning gates as it's own side of passport control. Non EU passports had to go on the long line.
They have originally intended to serve NYC from Stewart instead of JFK.
Really!! You paid $240.? Return ticket.
round trip for 241$ wow. btw Lowcost long haul rarely work.
Almost face reveal

That baileys was $9 alone... However I found the cup noodles and muffin to be fairly priced though.
Fly with Norse and you get nothing more than seat. Everything else you have to pay fore and the end it’s not so cheap.
"You have to fill the aircraft" no shit, Sherlock... :D
How much was the ticket?
