Super glad you're uploading again. Very relaxing content
Happy New Year bud
Thank you! I already have another thrift video fully edited and ready to be uploaded, probably Sunday Morning or Monday Morning.
Sophia!! ❤ Loved seeing her again. Can’t wait for the VHS videos!
Still working on the VHS video. It'll be a longer one for sure. I still have about 3 pallets to get through and then I'm done sorting.
Not bad on the lego haul, those are rare hard to find sets. Youll be good, best would be hold out until next christmas
Yes. Craigslist is great for local neighborhood stuff. Just be safe in well lit public areas with cams. If car sale, pay 5 $ fee.
I gotta give it a look again
I love Legos but I really don't understand why their so expensive.
They don’t remake the sets after stores usually?
Once Lego stops making a certain set they "retire" it and they usually go up.
*they're
I love designer bag...but also i never understand why they r soooo expensive,it is just a bag with nice colour😂
Hey ThirftSchool! Huge fan man, Keep up the good work!, Love all your videos man!
Thank you! Will do my guy!
How many returns do you get for damaged boxes due to Amazon shipping in bags instead of boxes?
Honestly not many.
Sorry but that's not freezing! lol, come here to Saskatchewan Canada! we have tons of snow and today's high temp was -27 windchill -38 (that's Celsius here in Canada). I know that's cold for you, but I WISH we had the temps you have, and no snow!
Omg! That's nuts. The temp has dropped a bit today, I just checked and it's 25° out right now so still over 50° warmer than where you are. I don't mind the cold, but I couldn't do Saskatchewan cold lol
@ThriftSchool 😆 yeah it's a normal winter here in this part of Canada! This isn't even the coldest it's been. We get colder, believe it, or not. Usually, mid-January to February is the coldest months for winter. Just a normal Canadian winter here 🤣. I don't mean to sound like a dink either 😅. But I truly do wish we had your Temps year round!
Are you working this sold amounts on Ebay when you researching?
I was looking at the listings on Amazon for this particular buy.
You say 524 profit, but I am not seeing it with fees and shipping. Is this gonna be Amazon stock? It looks and sounds good, but Im just curious if youre letting customers pay shipping if on eBay or if Amazon, and how much percentage in fees/shipping is applied. Thanks
Reason I ask is that shipping usually averages 30ish percent and goods are around 13% on eBay. So thats a huge chunk considering what you paid for the bundle. And these are not small items.
I ship these items into Amazons Warehouse and they deal with the shipping to the customer. The price I popped up on screen was after fees, but before shipping costs into Amazon. I already shipped these out and it averaged just under $3 per Set. I also was able to ask a fair bit more on some of these sets than I showed on this video. I like to show the minimum on RUclips so I'm not overexagerating and painting an unrealistic picture.
It's possible the sets don't sell for what I listed them for, and I'll have to drop prices to where this video showed them at. I do think that a few will sell for $40-50 more than I showed though.
@@ThriftSchool Ah ok yeah I dont do Amazon but I can see it as for some reason prices are so much higher on there.
That's risky business on Amazon, if they decide to audit your listings and ask for a supplier. You have no proof if these sets were stolen or not.
How old is this? Amazon killed Legos a few months ago (restricted for maybe 90pct of ppl).
Oh wow. This was this week. I never got restricted
That guy on Facebook got a great deal 🤣🤣
He made out great and so did I. A win-win is always nice.
Won't you make more though because a lot of those listings don't have any FBA listings? I would mark them up another $20-30 or so each....
That's exactly right. I didn't explain that in the video, but you get it! A bunch of the items I'm actually pricing upwards of $50 more. It's crazy how much extra money FBA can net.
@10:00 Nah, that's a square head screw. Most drill sets will have one that fits that head.
I'll report back in a future video! Lol
I would set my prices at least 20% higher than everyone else’s. To be honest I would probably hang on to those because in a few years they could be worth way more.
Very true. On a bunch of these sets there were no FBA offers so I did price a fair bit higher than shown in the video. But I don't like to say all of that because most people don't quite grasp that things can sell higher than the lowest possible price online and I get some hate comments lol
Over 50% roi, looks good to me 🔥
Oh yeah! And pretty fast easy sellers at that!
I wouldnt have paid a penny more than 600. But profit is profit.
I wish I could do the same, if I could get deals like this at $600 I'd pull the trigger daily, but they just don't happen and I have to make some sacrifices on profits. But I'm still very happy with a close to $600 potential profit, with a chance for it to even be a bit more since I just went off the lowest possible price.
Sophie! Miss seeing her in your videos!
I missed showing her, so I felt compelled to. I'm going to be posting a lot more this year and have some more life in my videos than just the typical 100% thrift content.
@@ThriftSchool Sophie looks really good. You take good care of her. 👍🏻
I mean I’m too broke to make that type of purchase. But for an $850 buy cost I’d want to make more than $500 profit. I’d be comfortable at closer to a double up as a bare minimum
I would love to double up for sure. But with sealed Legos, it's very tough to get those types of deals. Luckily, they sell pretty fast and I did price some higher than I showed in the video. I should probably make closer to $700 when all is said and done.
I love you're program
Thank you! I'm happy to hear that :)
0:14 🇺🇲 Hawaii 🤙
:)
@ThriftSchool Happy New Year from Hawaii 🤙
Pac-Man probably came from an old pizza place and wear and tear.
It sure does look like it.
you gotta get your cost of goods down
Idk where you’re from but I have some retired legos I’d like to get rid of
I'm in Connecticut. Where are you located?
In Indiana :(
Hello!!
Hi!
Hi
Hi!
👍
:)
Yeah I'm first
Woohoo! :)
man just two returns and it could ruin your haul. this is why I gave up on amazon fba. They busted my canon cameras so many times. Maybe for every 20 I sent I would get 5 returns and then most would be missing something or be trashed.
That's rough man. I totally feel that. I've had that happen a bunch, but I just keep pushing. Ive been so screwed in the past that I just stopped letting it fully get to me I suppose
