It is. as some people have mentioned, the figures do need occasional "haircuts" but not for any sinister reason. The wool stretches an deforms due to the humidity in the ride.

I'm surprised by the number of mentions of humidity there are. I'd imagine the ride is fairly cool inside, and California is known for having dry heat, not humidity (which is one of the reasons why I want to go to Disneyland over Walt Disney World), so it'd make a little more sense if this had been set in WDW instead.
This is a real phenomena. And they do need to give the dolls occasional haircuts, though for less sinister reasons.
Humidity doesn't necessarily need heat, although that is a factor, its a measure of the water vapor inside at a given time. Think of a public pool, they are usually fair cool but still damp inside. It's the dampness that causes the yarn hair of the dolls to uncoil and "grow". Speaking as someone who has visited the OG Disneyland and went on the ride (once, so I could say I did) it is cooler than outside but still warm.
The thumbnail is someone going: "Oh god. OH SHIT! If anyone finds out what I've done, I'M FUCKED!"

the titles are starting to get anime-type self-explanatory and long...OOF. I love the story but 'The Small World Dolls needed a haircut' would have worked XD
apparently people on the site complained about shorter titles because it was harder to remember the names
Funny thing about those overly long anime titles, studies in Japan found that people rarely read the summary on the back of a book, so that's why manga and light novel creators began summarizing the plot in the title.

I live 10 minutes from Disneyland and when I take my friends to visit the park I tell them about this ride and say it’s the most creepy and scariest ride. So scary that it was my 1st and last time and that they should at least go on it to see it for their selves

The "protagonist" was such a weak character, that being made into a doll would have been an improvement.
Why the sarcasm quotes? He's still the protagonist even if you don't like how he's written.
@@ElFreakinCid I used the quotes to emphasize my opinion, that the term protagonist suggests that the character be interesting or in some way drive the story forward, not being a passive lump waiting for slaughter. This story actually did creep me out, but the reason was probably not the intended one.
I don't know what the dolls are going to do to her but it's deserved. It's so so so so freaking deserved. before she even got the fuggin job she was told NO LIVE STREAMS and her first two days she fuggin Livestreams. She deserves to have Disney sue her ass so badly she's flipping burgers just to pay them back.

I don't get the story...... it wasn't scary, it was confusing.
Twist was kinda ass and the other twist of the protagonist being a man was even scarier.

I about CRAPPED a brick when I read the title .... because I didn't get the full title ... all I got was something about Disney people and cutting hair that grows all year and I found it sooooo fucking weird that I had just. described how I had only been growing my hair out for a year just minultes before . That….was a very stupid story. It had all of the elements to be scary too… the dolls. Creepy music. Disney mythos. But it just felt abrupt and disjointed, none of the good stuff lasting long enough to be spooky. Why would someone afraid of dolls go into a career surrounding themselves alone with them constantly to “cut their hair” anyway? That’s like “I’m afraid of clowns so I joined the circus” nicely read, as usual of course, but not worth the time spent listening.

Scientifically no. The size difference, use of embalming fluids, and the parts being a combination of artificial and some human parts leads us to think that spiritually yes they were still alive in an endless loop of torcher.
Yarn doesn't grow. It does stretch but not infinitely. Yarn hair is not under tension, therefore would not stretch.
I hope Ron DeSantis investigates the catacombs of Disney now that they lost their special status of being a sovereign state within Florida

@Lauren pretty much. Florida law didn't apply in their county to Disney. they had their own rules and could even build nuclear power plants if they wanted

It's a creepy pasta, it's not supposed to be realistic
It does actually, this is a real phenomena and they do need to give the figures the occasional haircut. Basically the dampness inside makes the yarn hair uncoil over time and appear to grow.

Actually what makes this story creepy theres a real story bout a female cast member i dont remember which disney it happened at but the cast member was working on the its a small world ride during a malfunction and there. Was a part of the ride that had a revolving wall and something happened and she got crushed by the wall and died on the spot even though disney didnt consider her dead until after she was off disney. Property in an ambulance so im guessing the author got the idea for this story from that real life story
