When I was still an elementary school kid, my dad listened to the non-Deluxe version of Night Visions, and he loved it, immediately adding every song to his iTunes playlist. As a result, Tiptoe and Cha-Ching and Bleeding Out were the anthems of my childhood. My parents loved the Hunger Games song Who We Are, and added that when it came out. I was swept along with the tide of Thunder and Believer hype, and in 2019 I heard Birds on the radio and instantly fell in love. It wasn’t until earlier this year, three months before Loom, that I listened to a few recommended deep cuts from the comments of a video I’d found: Sharks, Symphony and Cutthroat, which I realised I had listened to once with my family when it came out, but my mom had disliked it and turned it off. I excitedly spent the summer listening to every ID song I could get my hands on, and went from someone who listened to exclusively Night Visions to a huge ID fan, my favourites I’ve recently discovered being Sirens, Curse, All Eyes and I’m So Sorry. I’m so happy to have discovered this amazing band’s entire discography, and am grateful to them for practically raising me with their first album. I love you guys. ❤️
