  • As much as we love exploring and going new places, we can't get out all the time! Join us today as we install our Anvil Overland Dash-Bar into our new JT in preparation for future adventures. The hardest part is deciding where to put all those Bulletpoint mounts! You can also see the Anvil Overland Dash-Bar as mounted in our JK, but that's a bit more complicated to install and we weren't actively taking video when we did that one a few years ago.

Just came across your channel & had to watch cause I love this mount & Anvil !! I subscribed to show some love & due my part , as jeepers we know we all have different styles & products & both you've chose are great but for me I stuck with all Anvil products. I don't think there is really any money to save by buying Bulletpoint mounts & I find Anvils to be higher quality & easier to use with one hand but to each there own right ! Honestly think if you tried one you'd be impressed !! Look forward to watching more of your videos & spying on / stealing some of your locations to try as soon as I get that chance. Thanks

Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! You are absolutely right: we might love the anvil mounts even more. It's easy to try one thing that works but not realize there is something even better. Bill has been asking to add a second phone mount in the JT, so this may be a perfect time to try something different!

Thanks for watching! We currently have 10.5 inch Samsung TabA8s in both vehicles. They were relatively inexpensive, have plenty of storage for Apps like OnX, Gaia, AllTrails, and IOverlander plus downloaded offline maps, and have withstood some very rough offroad trails. They also have built in GPS. The only downside has been the one time in Moab where one overheated when I left it in a sunny spot in the vehicle while we hiked. (It was only in the 50s outside, but I underestimated that Moab sun!) Thankfully, we have learned since then and that same Tab A8 is still running strong.

@@JourneyBeyondOverland Awesome! That's a great tablet. I think the best tablets are Android especially when you can expand the storage and the prices are always really reasonable.
