Thank you so much. Because of this video I am going to be playing "Every Move I Make" for our Youth today. It is the first son I have learned because of how simple you teach. Just like the simple Gospel! It's not hard when you show how simple it is.
so awesome bro! and God bless you for helping out that 12 yr. old. if i woulda had somebody at 12 to help me like this, i wouldn't have waited so long to pick up the guitar. i luv praise music, it's so simple and easy but yet so meaningful. great job my friend
just focus on the timing...so go 2 beats per chord the whole song..so no matter how many strums you do down or up..just know after the 2 beats you need to switch to the next chord. just practice in your head saying "1,2" "1,2" "1,2" and so forth with each chord...this helped me a ton when i learned this. hope it helps
@JESUS1andONLYWAY i do some here in North Carolina. Have you tried to learn with my dvd "praise in 10 days" i really do the exact same thing in my lessons as i teach on that video. You can see the different chapters on my homepage. Check it out and let me know what you think. They are called, "Learn the Guitar"
the key is do that UP strum in between the 2 down strums as you are changing. you always want to change chords during the up strum....try that...let me know what you think. Check out some of my videos on strumming as well. It's all about keeping the same timing between chords
@icmanypeople just 2 beats per chord and strumming down on both beats....every now and then i'll strum up right before the chord change just to change it up. At first until you get comfortable I would just do the down strums. Good luck!
It's called a palm mute. Simple, with your strumming hand, you rest your palm on the strings to mute them. Example. Down up (palm) down. Rest your palm on all the strings for that 3rd down stroke. And then to continue that pattern, just do up down up palm up down up palm... so on so forth. It's very simple and very upbeat =D
Hi matt,my name is jake ,I am 13 years old.I really enjoy your videos and If would like can you make a tutorial on rainbows in the sky song for me to play in church.
it's really a Cadd9 chord, but you'll notice in my earlier videos i try to make the chords as routine and easy as possible. I just use G, C, Em, and D (with the bottom 2 fingers of the 3rd fret pressed on all the chords)
So the chords are g, c abbreviated?, d abreviated? Could you please post the written chords you played in the comments? I’m struggling to see them. Is your pinkie on the guitar or just your finger on the third fret bottom string the whole time for every chord?
you're welcome..glad I can help...i'm uploading the piano tutorial for this song that is great for beginners if you ever wanted to learn piano., it's SUPER easy to play. It'll go live tomorrow at 10.
Hey Matt, I need help...
