I've gone through several startup accelerators and this guy is teaching all that + giving many many useful tips just for free under 10 minutes! Outstanding and amazing! Keep it up.
Excellent points, also outsourcing is great to grow to the first $100 K without having a partner or hiring anyone on salary. Love the point about focusing on a core product and no distractions.
No one does it better than Caya! No bluffing, no fluffing, no preambles, no waste of time, just straight to the point. It's definitely you/your company for my start-up when it is time.
Again guys, thank you so much for these videos. I am always learning something. After almost 2yrs of trying in vain; I finally managed to secure a VC interview for our company, thanks to the tips shared in these videos
As we are entering our fundraising phase, I've now realized that we have 1-2 of these red flags, thank you so much for making such an in-depth video on this! Great help as always
I wonder how long it is before Slidebean is no longer a pitch deck provider, but instead a full-on business info source provider. But either way, this RUclips channel is amazing and must be the single greatest advertisement imaginable for their main product
I am a solo founder and I do most things in the startup. I’ve hired devs to develop the app. Many devs want to be advisors in the company (and get a chunk of it), but I found that it is more efficient for me to pay for devs that will actually build the product.
If you can stomach the R&D cost associated with such a strategy, it will work. But it is high risk, and high reward nonetheless to do so. Not for faint of heart or cash strapped. And requires a founder that will do it all and willing to know whatever they need to know and preempt anything they might need to know in the future. Betas need not apply here. I salute your efforts.
Launching a professional American Football League in Brazil and your videos and slide examples have been a Godsend! Money been tighter than pantyhose 3 sizes small smh, but as we go through funding Slidebeam will be rewarded for sharing a wealth of knowledge! Thanks and Continued Success from the NBAFL! Sending you some gear soon! @slidebean #caya
Easy said than done, finding a CTO is the hardest part of a start-up as most good tech guys are either employed with a good salary or involved a self-made project. It's been two years and I'm still looking for a CTO for my start-up.
CFOs being promoted to CEOs instead of CTOs is the reason why Intel's processor business is struggling and why they keep doubling down on anti-consumer practices like limiting RAM speeds on all but the most expensive chipsets.
Slidebean should introduce a new service where startups can come to you & literally hand over the entire task of fundraising, something that most legal firms offer. Once you secure their funding (which will save the startup a hell of time and energy), you can have your fee or a % cut/ commission out of the raised amount.
Well, that's kind of what the Founder's Edition plan helps with... we get involved with the founding team and our startup deals give them the support they need in other areas (legal, for instance). Check it out: slidebean.com/founders-edition
Can you talk about the different stages of startups and the goals, the struggles, and the typical capital/revenue/expenses on each stage, and what does a failing start up look like on these stages compared to a succeeding startup.
If you need capital funding, any startup should not go into debt they should raise the money through equity. You need to check out Startengine! Just saying..... it's the best way these days to avoid venture capitals in the early stages of your business.
All cool, but this is only focused on software based products, is more tricky than that for hardware for example, you can't just launch a hardware MVP to the public, you need large amounts of capital and a growing team, manufacturing and so on, it would be cool if you guys take us into account too, there are founders doing hardware that watch this videos, it cool give them the wrong idea or discourage them.
love this channel and check out slidebean... What if I want to create presentations to share with potential customers? Like a template that conveys the value proposition or benefits and showcases the product and team... I guess that's a pitch without the financials .... Ill try it out
Are you guys working on adding azure discounts to your services? AWS is a serious espionage nightmare for any business. There are multiple reports of amazon collecting data from their AWS clients and using that to understand consumer trends to launch their next products/services
Hi , I have one question. My company was just incorporated trough Stripe Atlas and I'm about to issue founders stock with standard vesting schedule. Im also going to present 83(b) elections , my question is : Do I need to get ITIN for my self in order to present 83(b) elections? When is the ITIN going to be needed in the future? Thank You , great content as always !!!
Thanks, Guillermo! That question seems kinda technical/specific... Welcome to discuss with other founders or Caya on Discord slidebean.com/startup-cafe
Question: We've been a bootstrapped company for 3yrs now, with our ultimate goal in mind; we launched our first product, then a second and got started on our third and final product in order to achieve the company's vision. Is it okay for me to mention this in our pitch to the funders?
your first point that the founding should be able to generate the first 100K revenew ... interesting but I cannot fully agree. It makes sense as a logic ... but reality can be different ... I am an early stage startup and have structured as a One Person Company ... to be LLP in due course ... but it seems the first 100K is on me ! The question is am I that "complete" team ...could be ...but hiring is the best choice for what I have envisaged the future ..not that hiring is possible for me in terms of budget ..it just that where I am ...co-founder deficiency!!. but i guess mine is an anomaly!! (obviously I have not explained fully ... would love to take this conversation a bit forward !!)
I am planning on offering one of our core technology as a separate SaaS tools. We use this and I think other startups will find it awesome. Do you think this will be a red flag?
I'd love to have the Company Forensics be it's own YT channel. As great as these startup help-videos can be, they are a bit too cliched for my taste and turn me off from the channel otherwise. I want to watch stories of Silicon Valley failing -- not how to join its club. Just my two cents -- as I really have enjoyed a handful of the CF videos.
Wait, your founders' salary was $30k a year in the bay area? You can't even afford to shop for groceries for that in the bay area, let alone housing. It's literally only like a third of the poverty line.
Everything is possible if you struggle to achieve it. I'm living with 300€ per month in Mexico, that's 3600 a year and I'm not starving, I have WiFi and live comfortably, how does it sound to you? 😉
Im sorry but the first point is kind of ridiculous. It a perfect world, yes, youd come up with an idea together with the perfect 5 guys and start a company, but that just doesn't happen. The stars dont align like that. Or very few times. You think everyone knows a programmer, a designer, a salesguy, an engineer, a laywer and they all excell at what they do, and they all dont have lives they can leave at the drop of a hat and live on ramen for a year? More often than not its a guy with an idea, who had to fight upstram all the way to the top.
I've gone through several startup accelerators and this guy is teaching all that + giving many many useful tips just for free under 10 minutes!
Outstanding and amazing! Keep it up.

Similar case with Boeing
