Hey Matthew, thank you for sharing the delicious variety of mangoes. Have you ever explore any additional Jamaican foods that are eaten? Also in Jamaican people frequent. Like the Jamaican Chinese food , Jamaican Indian food, which also is delicious and has its own twist native to our island Jamaica. Also the Jamaican candy and pastries , cakes that are simply delicious. Also check out locally owned fine dining restaurants. I think those topics will also be very interesting as well. Matthew, the box of mangoes at 14:04 we call those "turpentine" or "peach mangos" in the U.S. I had a JM woman give me an East Indian mango last week. So good and sweet! My favorite is the Hayden (Purple & green, then turn red at top; orange on bottom) In the bucket at the mango vendor I saw a "Kent" mango. (I think you call them "belly full") I LOVE mangos, and I'm so glad the season is here. Enjoy!

East Indian the king of mangos. Eat 2 good size East Indian & drink a glass of water and my belly full. St. Julian, bombay, black, robin, airy,you name it, love them all.

Haven't had a Haden mango in 35 yrs. They were fleshy, juicy and sweeter than honey.
Listen you are so right, nothing like mango in jamica. Yes the mangoes grown in Florida or else where besides Jamica has no mango smell, taste and feels ,,oh not even sweet. Thats why i try to travel during the summer for my authenic jamican grown fruits and food. Big up Matt for these videos.

I didnt know there were so many varieties of mangoes in Jamaica. I grew up with Number eleven, blacky, stringy/hairy (Julie,E. Indian and Bombay to a lesser extent). One mango you did not have is Sweetie come brush me😂😂. Thanks for your videos🙏
Shouting out from CT USA. I love Mangoes too and I can't tell the difference, only if it's too stringy. We have a store called Price Rite here and the cost is $.79 each this week. I have to check the origin next trip.

There’s Jamaican mangoes that’s imported there in Toronto…my cousin got some East Indian mangoes to me in NYC hidden in her car a while back…guess you got to know where to go to get it…

I am in the Midwest and the mangos are not good at all. The “champagne” mangos are sour and on the is called Keith tastes like onions or garlic. This is the second summer that they’ve tasted funny. I look forward to arriving and going on a mango tour.

Which mango name John Belly full. Fuss mi a hear dat deh one. Bwoy mi buy one box of East Indian a week ago in Queens, New York for $70.00. I think in was 10lbs and they claimed it came from Jamaica. Massa this place i was force to buy "puss inna bag. I fall for the gamble. The box had 13 mangoes, 3 overripe bad as i open the box, some had green skin and only changed from green to dark spots......no good. I got to eat a few but i would not do this for this year again, maybe another year. I really want to find 'Ms Millie" , Ms Fineskin and Mr Bombay. Why are some mango trees so tall. You can not get any of the fruit off them unless they fall.
Its also currently mango season in south asia / india. We have the sweetest juiciest mangoes.

@@abzeeno No, Jamaica climate is superior to India and thus gives the best quality, plus most of Jamaican mangoes are from India so i doubt you tried Jamaica Mangoes. The Caribbean have better tasting fruits and crops because of the climate
