This weeks I had the pleasure of driving a very popular Stage 2 E92 335i! This was one seriously fast motor!
This car has the looks and definitely the power to trouble most modern performance cars!
I hope you enjoy the content and see you on the next one :-)

When I first bought my n54.
1st thing I replaced is oem Turbos
    1400$ oem Mitsubishi turbos
    800$ lines,seals etc
    2100$ install
Another 2000$ on random parts after that.
Then I decided that was enough sending the car to bmw specialist. Started doing all my own work , mods & maintenance.
Never been happier with any other car.
If you buy a 335i n54. Know you’ll spend double what you paid fairly soon. But after that keep up with maintenance. And your gapping most cars on street.

That’s simply not true if you can work on the car yourself.

@@mogulme6190 I’m speaking from experience. Idk if you talking about any bmw or n54 specifically.
N54 have 7 main failure points. There’s more but these the ones that’ll leave you stranded.
      Hpfp
      Injectors
      Ignition coils
      Wastegate rattle I.e. turbos
      Water pump / thermostat
      Valve cover & gasket
      Serpentine belt & pulleys .
Replace those things and your lookin at few grand. In parts alone if your buying bmw parts. You could save on some items. But point is it gets pricey real fast.
      That’s doing your own work.

They can be a money pit if you end up with the wrong one but once they are running fine they are a proper rapid machine.

my e90 n54 is single turbo converted and pushing 650whp or 740bhp approx which is the max you can run really on the stock internals. Some people run up to 750whp but how long it lasts is another story. its an absolute animal of a car at 650whp blows the tyres off at WOT in 4th gear even. Im building the engine soon and then aiming for 850whp.

@@PerformanceLifestyles I did nothing more than a cheap S1 remap to mine. Its 340 bhp and 500nm and hit 60 in a smudge under 4.5 on a sunny day. They are getting on now so do need some love but if you look after them they're a nice driver car to own that give that yesterday's driving vibe. They will go off the clock, it has all the toys including a 13 channel surround sound audio system that is very very good, and despite a bit of a rep mines been pretty reliable. I think a lot of the complaints on reliability are from poorly maintained cars. The nice thing these days though is they're a bit of a sleeper now.

@@moonfly1 TBF a stage 1 remap is all they need and its quite a inexpensive mod that makes a massive difference.
Reliability i agree is a issue with poorly maintained cars, a lot of these did end up in the wrong hands and the new owners ultimately paid the price in some occasions.
