What has helped your cat relax the best? I'd love to know If you're not sure if your cat is stressed or not then make sure you watch this video to help you decide: ruclips.net/video/R7YTAEzkIiA/видео.html
My cat was diagnosed with bladder problems due to stress today and he is on a special food and supplements. Luckily he has no stones or crystals. Thank you for the tips ! We are on the road to recovery.
How is your journey going? My boy has just been diagnosed with the same thing and I’ve always tried giving him the best life possible. This new job and hours I’m guessing is what’s thrown him around. I just want him to be happy again.
Thank you so much! my Cat had recently got stressed because my mom brought in a new kitten, we didnt think our Cat would get stressed because of it, she also got FLUTD because of the stress and we dont have that many access to the Vet in my country, if there is, it would be very expensive for my current situation, so i think by doing these i could relieve my Cat's stress and hopefully cure her FLUTD a little bit
Funnily enough, when I suddenly had to bring home the second cat, my cat and new one completely ignored extra litter boxes, but were OK with going to one. After a month I just removed extra litter boxes. I just keep it clean and change more often. With water - yeah, we've got more water bowls, but my new male is an overeater so I feed him 2 times a day and my older female is picky and slim, also lost some weight from gingivitus, so I feed her whenever she asks, so only 2 separate bowls. And yeah, we've got some scratchposts war going on. I'm planning to install some really big climbing tree for them.
I had 2, mum and daughter and they used the same box. I stray came in and was eating out of their food dishes and went in their litter tray. Took in another stray, he used their litter tray but I got another one, they happily use the 2 that we have and the 2 food bowls but now 1 is spraying everywhere so we will introduce another food dish and litter tray to try and stop this.
Thanks for the video. I’m confused why people say that cats live in isolation. I feed feral colonies and the cats have little groups that sleep and eat together. They don’t all seem to get a long but they all seem to be in groups.
i hope my cat doesn't die from the stress :( because our new rent doesn't allow pets i was forced to give my cat away for the mean time to a friend. i know a change of environment is stressful, but my cat doesn't eat and drink properly and was thin after 2 weeks when i came to visit him and a fucking stray cat always bullies and fights my marshmallow of a cat every 12am onwards. my cat even got sick. i wish he'd live in the next place i'd transfer him in.. my friend didn't even try to protect my cat and just let shit happen because they believe cats have to be let to initiate everything instead of a 2 way process of reciprocality in getting to know the cat and helping them cope when in a new environment. *sigh* i hope my cat lives well :(
thank you for this video. my cat is very stressed at the moment, which is probably because of the corona. he always gets like this when he senses something going on, like when we moved, or when one of us is stressed
Thanks I'm adopted an anxious cat she's doing okay the first night she was pretty wary of me now she's walking around and exploring a bit more but I'm also not forcing anything this defiantly gave me some confidence that she'll be happy
thank u so much for your video, I found my cat do not go to toilet very often and he used to have FIC problem, lately he urinates only once a day sometimes none in a day which makes me really worried 😟
adopted a cat with hx of inappropriate urination. Shelter said cat always used litter box. He is neutered. He seems to at times twitch is lower back with elevated tail. I never see or smell any urine coming out but worry he will try to spray or is about to. What should I do? I have 2 large modkat litter boxes in middle bathroom and feed in kitchen. I know we have possums and stray cats that walk around the house at night and I think my cat can smell them at night. So what should I do. I have ordered a tree house for him. He is a indoor kitty and I hope this adoption works out.
Thank you for both videos on cats and the signs of stress. Having 3 cats is a great fun, however now that they are 13 years old it has become challenging. I knew one was stress because the another developed thyroid problems and began beating up on him. The dissolved now he is on meditation. However, you videos have made me aware of stress indicators and I will make a few adjustment. I hope your advise works because I love them dearly.
I have 3 cats my oldest domestic cat tend to hiss a lot and growl. Even in playing. If my youngest Siamese stare at her she hiss. She hiss at them walking pass.
Cats find it very offensive and aggressive when u stare at them so tell your sister to try blinking slowly to show she is calm and relaxed, your welcome.
hi ya , i need some advice , ive have 2 16 year old cats , hence my channel name, in the early 2000s my cat had a litter , she has since passed , i kept all 6 kittens too , of which i have 2 boys left , over the course of last 2 years i have lost 4 to illness , aged related , the last loss being in january 22, 1 of my boys has since then been losing his hair on lower back , vet gave steroid not helped , no change in diet or etc do you have any suggestions as nothing has changed other than losing his siblings
@@OurPetsHealth my cat is a female cat, her sister had kittens. The problem is my cat think shes the mother of the kittens and she grooms the kittens. But she doesn't let her sister (the mother of the kittens) give them milk. she gets angry when we try to remove her, what I've done is continuously remove her and lock her in the other room for hours. and today she is not energetic and have symptoms of a stress. I'm afraid i have stressed my cat because she doesn't want to interact or eat and TRYS to vomit out something. My point is WHATS THE CURE
My cat has access to a catio but he yowl-shrieks early in the mornings, evenings or late at night, so we have to leave it closed because he goes on and on until we get him in the house and close the flap. He learned how to open the flap when it's locked so we have to put a bucket to keep him from messing with it at night. He pees all over the house too(already watched the video, and we think it is stress). If he didn't yowl so loudly we would leave the flap open, but he randomly decides to start shrieking at 3 AM.
I'm not sure about the time thing though? (Allowing cat to choose his times) Its just when I have allowed him to ho in and out as he pleases ,he ends up staying out for longer periods of time, and actually ends up MORE STRESSED ,because he yearns to be out nearly all the time, and then sometimes, stays out over night, or dissapears a few days! And comes back all jumpy because he's been out in the wild over night, worrying about creatures approaching him?
When I choose the times for him, he's a much calmer cat, I choose same time every morning OR: Same amount of time after I wake up- so he knows the drill... Lol. But as said. Him choosing times, leads to severe howling, yearning to go out, anxieties to go out all night, and days, and all jumpy.. Its kinda my job to protect him. Cause I made him a house cat, and his instinxt is to be out in the wild, but cause he's domesticated, he can't handle the outdoors as a wild cat,, so we meet each other half way! I choose morning time, and 8-9pm in time, and he chooses the rest! ,
Thing is my cat is mostly fine with me during the night, in the day shes just so anxious and always checking her surroundings. She never likes people. Although I do have 3 cats one is always by himself but my brothers cat loves her and she treats her like her child. Shes the only one who acts likes this I'm so confused.
I think I need a new vet 😅 when I told him I thought my cat was experiencing stress he said he’d never heard of that happening. He checked out bladder for health (physically she ended up fine) but he continued to not believe the fact she could be stressed and offered no new solutions
Hello really need some advice my cat who was litter trained has now stopped using the litter box for poops so yes it’s on the floor !! Tried everything so far extra box, change of litter , diet , feliway and clean surfaces . Please advice as he goes 3 times a day in the floor hard work to clean up let alone the smell
that's a lot of poops, and with the change in behavior suggests there could be a medical rather than a behavioral problem going on. A check up would be a good first step
I have 3 cats. The male which is the biggest (about 2 times the females’ size) is very territorial. He has to eat and pee every time the other 2 do so. He always picks up on my oldest female cat. I have tried lots of things. Ee have vertical space, scratching posta we have had cats+1 litter boxes (we do not have that anymore bc it did not work), used feliway and recently we are giving our big male anxocare when he looks anxious and aggressive. We have also tried giving them treats together. Yelling and leaving the male cat in a room when he’s picking up on the other one, etc. They still do not get along. Any other advice?
I have 2 cats just turn 1years old. There jumpy. And one of my cats keeps chewing a fake flower ripping up paper and cardboard. And chewing on my arm. Can you give me some advise please x
give them plenty of toys and change them regularly, schedule routine play time, fed them with food puzzles, hide their food so they need to "hunt" for it, if they are indoor only then make sure they have plenty of places to look outside, high areas to climb, bring in some leaves/sticks/grass for them to explore. Providing physical and mental stimulation is huge and a topic I have a video planned about
I have 4 cats, 3 of them are pretty chill and sweet angels but the other one has been the reason why me and my family argue sometimes and it's so sad because i love him so much... He's been fixed since he was little, but now after 3 years whenever he can he'll spray everywhere. I believe he's stressed but nothing i try to do seems to help at all, he's the one i give more attention to and it even makes me feel bad because i almost never play with the other cats afraid he'll get jealous. ok so my cat just a few minutes ago got agressive from me picking her up and then she hissed at me and bit my leg which at first she seemed in a lot of pain and then her leg started shaking me personally im kinda freaked out because like 8 months ago i lost my cat lola and we got calipso like a month ago and i dont really wanna lose her. also thank you for these tips to help my cat get out of stress we may not have other cats but we have two other dogs and one likes to try to fit her tiny head in his big mouth.

Hello, I have a question. Is it normal that my cat develops cistitis regulary like..once a month? Our routine has changed due to me quitting my job an coronavirus. He used to spend 8 hours on his own and now I'm all over the place... it's even worse that we live in one environment apartment. I've already checked with his doctor and we discovered struvite cristals, I've switched food to an urinary medicated food. He's been eating that for two months now so I believe it's not something physiological but something phycological. Could it be?
Some cats do get more regular flair-ups than others if it is strass related, but you're right in that there are other conditions that might be worth ruling out as well. Have you seen this video? - ruclips.net/video/W6QeHzFzNpI/видео.html

Hey my cat has to live in my bedroom. It's not too small and Not permanently. But he hates it. I'm btw places and where I'm staying that what I have to do. Any tips on my situation? I've been trying my best to chear him up
We just moved, and I can tell that he’s stressed out. I really don’t know how to help him. He’s been very mean lately but he used to be an angel. I don’t know why he’s changed. Anyone know how I can help him?
@@adelesolar6854 The Rescue Remedy for pets worked for me. Maybe try a drop of that on some food/treat he loves. Hope it helps. It also took 2-3 months for my cat to finally adjust and settle, and get back to normal.
We saw a stray cat wandering in our street so we take the cat and put it into a cage but it keeps meowing and even put outside the cage it keeps meowing, how can I help the cat? We are still looking for its owner but every minute the cat keeps meowing and its eyes are dilated. Please help me. How can I help the cat?
If they are not used to being inside then it might take some time to relax in the new environment. These steps should help. It could also be that it is an entire female on heat and so it is calling for a mate
I have 2 cats a boy and a girl (they are biological brother and sister) the boy has always been mine but he was separated from his sister for 4 months when I moved then i found his sister scared and abandoned at the animal shelter so I brought her home, she and her brother do love each other... however I'm moving into a bigger place now with my 2 cats so they will have more room... but my girl is stressed out because she sees things disappearing and she might think she's being abandoned again I've tried buying more toys and making more hiding spots and I've kept the routine the same as best I can but she is over grooming herself licking herself raw and pulling her fur out, the boy cat is fine and knows I'm not leaving him but the girl was hurting herself to the point I had no choice but to put a cone on her so she cant rip out her fur or over groom anymore I have also taken more time for just her playing and cuddles but I'm still worried for her because she doesn't know that she and her brother are coming to a nicer home... any suggestions the vet here wasn't much help for me...
Have you tried using pheromones and anxiety relieving supplements (you can find some here - www.amazon.com/shop/ourpetshealth?listId=1O8GGIYUQIIX0)? They can make a big difference and are something that you can continue with after you move while they are getting used to their new home. If that's still not helping then there are anti-stress pharmaceuticals like trazadone or clomipramine that you can ask your vet about
I went to the description for herbal remedies and found the Rescue Remedy link for pets. I love rescue remedy for my own personal use, and I had no idea that they made one for animals! I hope it works for my fur baby like it works for me 🤣 lol
My Cat eats her own kitten. I wonder why? I've searched for many conclusions and I found out that Stress is the closest thing that my cat can possibly had. Like She doesn't wanna be pet, She's always angry when I tried to touch her. Can you please Help me :(
My neighbor's cat had babies. The owner and her children were constantly picking up her kittens and the cat didn't recognize her smell any longer and started killing them. One she put under a mattress and sat on it, one she ate, another one she just wouldn't nurse it. Kept picking it up and putting it far from the nest .... but the vet (I went for my own cat) explained some cats do not like you to touch their babies.
What has helped your cat relax the best? I'd love to know

Cats are complicated! Here's a good overview of cat social structure and colony formation - icatcare.org/advice/the-social-structure-of-cat-life/
They are likely related to each other which is different than unrelated cats living together.

We just moved, and I can tell that he’s stressed out. I really don’t know how to help him. He’s been very mean lately but he used to be an angel. I don’t know why he’s changed. Anyone know how I can help him?
this video has the strategies to help him
Our Pets Health I tried everything that was there. he hasn’t changed at all. But taking him to a vet will make it worse.
@@adelesolar6854 The Rescue Remedy for pets worked for me. Maybe try a drop of that on some food/treat he loves. Hope it helps. It also took 2-3 months for my cat to finally adjust and settle, and get back to normal.
My cat lives outside but he sprays everywhere and I dont know how to figure out why he's spraying and what should I exactly do
have you seen my video about stopping spraying? ruclips.net/video/a2focn8st9Y/видео.html
We got 2 puppy's and I feel bad because my cat seems stressed what' do I do
My new kitten has not eaten for a whole day and I do not know what to do
You don't blink!!
I do occasionally!
Does playing also reduce stress?
It will improve your bond so reduce stress. A really stressed cat is not likely to want to play much
My cat is worried about his cat friends
How do i make he not worried anymore
My moms idea was to just get 2 other kittens. Great fucking idea 👍🙄
My Cat eats her own kitten. I wonder why?
I've searched for many conclusions and I found out that Stress is the closest thing that my cat can possibly had.
Like She doesn't wanna be pet, She's always angry when I tried to touch her.
Can you please Help me :(
When you feed the cat, gradually pet him while eating. Don't rush. It will take time.
I have 6 cats...
I hope this helps. The more cats the more stress unfortunately
Idk why, this looks like a video from the 90’s
Took my cat to the vet today and they said he's stressed I just want him to feel okay again
I hope this video gives you some ideas that will help him
