How to Find Your IP Address Including Private & Public

This video will show you how to find your Private & Public address. To make it simple your Private IP Address belongs to whatever device you are using to connect to your network such as a cell phone, laptop, computer, smart tv, amazon fire stick, gaming console, etc... All these devices have different ip addresses so that the network can keep track of the devices connected to the network. A Public IP Address is the address of your Modem given by your internet provider. This is how your service provider can keep track of all of the different Modems on the network. There is 3 ways you can find your IP Address. The first method you can use is to find your Public IP Address. You can go to whatismyipaddr... and it will show your ip addresses. The other two you can do to find your Private IP Address from your pc.
Command Prompt (CMD) Method:
1.Right-click the Windows Start menu and select Run.
2.Type "cmd" in the search field and click OK.
3. In Command Prompt, type ipconfig and hit Enter. Scroll to IPv4 Address to see your local (Private) IP address

Settings Method:
1. Open the Windows Start menu and click Settings
2. Select Network & Internet
3. Select Wi-Fi in the left panel and then click Advanced Settings. (For wired connections, select Ethernet and then click Network connection.) Your local IP will appear in the next window
4. View your local IP address under IPv4 address
