Man when M Byleth shows emotion it hits way more than with F Byleth
It hit me harder than F Byleth because M byleth doesn’t show much emotion compared to her, And these are one of these scenes that got me all in tears when he actually does.

One thing i love about this scene is that Byleth uses Divine Pulse, like how any one would. But then the game literally says “no plot armor! Bad!”

Umm no. I had 8 divine pulses at that point in the game. Byleth could’ve kept trying to save him but he stopped after 1 divine pulse.
Would have made it more sad of byleth kept trying but sothis telling him its impossible to use any more divine pulse
Think of it like when Asuna changes things in Underworld during a fight, she can only do it 3 times or she starts hurting herself

I think one thing that helps make male Byleth look more emotional here is the eyelids and brow positions.
His brows are stressfully furrowed, with his eyes still as open as they normally are.
Female Byleth, however, has her eyelids slightly closed, and her eyebrows are more just pointing upwards instead of being furrowed.
In the Fire Emblem universe even a person who was the power of a God/Goddess can't change Fate.

Because they aren't true gods, there just powerful dragons/ dragonkin. They have immense power, but are ultimately not deities.

In this cutscene M Byleth shows actual emotion it's like he's trying to hold back his tears but can't vs F Byleth were her big ass eyes make me laugh every time. It's like someone pushed her down and took her lunch money.

To me, female Byleth seemed more emotional than male Byleth and to me she looks visibly more shocked when she realizes that she couldn’t save Jeralt the second time. As for her crying, she seemed like she was trying to hold it back, which makes sense to me since she’s a character that doesn’t have much emotion. This is just my opinion however.

@@ethantombs2608 Female Byleth feels more like she's used to appear indifferent yet is full of thoughts (weird ones usually, according to some of the laughable dialogue options) and emotions deep inside. But then I guess male Byleth is exactly the same except that his appearance makes he feel more serious on top of that emotionless face. Still the same character unlike in Engage, where the two genders feel so different due to character design & animation works.

I mean, yeah... is sad that Jeralt dies. *BUT* I think the game needed established better the relationship Father-Son.
Jeralt in the Game is nothing more than an NPC who increase your Stat. He need more Emotional Scenes, like in the Cementery; when the Avatar visit with Jeralt the Mother Grave
