I made a little mistake not including the final builds for Byleth and Dimitri at 28:55 I will put it here in the comments. -Byleth - Alert Stance+, Close Counter, Death Blow, Lance Prow Lv5, and Bow prow lv5 -Dimitri - Aegis, Lance prow lvl 5, Lance Crit +10, Alert Stance + , and Lancefaire. For a duo run they didn't have amazing avoidance as I didn't have much knowledge back then as I do now. - The footage around late game looks bad cause I played on Handheld (Thanks Beryl) -Outro Music Is copyrighted so youtube did its thing and the audio is ehhhhh.( no impact so I’m good to use it) -Also my editing software had some issues exporting cause some keyframes are just gone Thanks for watching and have a good one
I think AM benefits from having the lord with the best arc, the best supporting cast, the best house of students, and the best "gameplay and story integration." The route wasn't afraid to take risks and take chances, and this was rewarded as most fans love the route for what it did differently. I think that AM is a solid route that feels the most like a traditional FE game (the lord's country is invaded, they fight to reclaim their homeland and defeat the invaders) but Dimitri offers a unique lord perspective that makes the route feel special. AM also benefits from cutting out the fat, so to speak. The Agarthans don't matter (you simply defeat Cornelia and Arundel, who matter for Dimitri) and Rhea is saved off screen and she steps down as the archbishop while Byleth takes over. Nobody likes the Agarthan plotline so it's rather funny when AM is "criticized" for cutting out the Agarthan plot.
@@l.n.3372 AM is fine as is, SS/CF should’ve had more involvement with the agrathans, while GD could’ve explored almyra and the truth of claude. With the agarthans handled the same as in BL.
I thought Azure Moon had the best cast due to the history between most the characters, followed by Golden Deer. Imo this route has the most consistent writing by a good margin as well. Crazy part is I say this as a Golden Deer guy.
I think the lions have the best students, but I would give the eagles the runner up position. That said, I don't love CF or SS even tho I like most of the eagles, but I don't love VW either tbh.
@@l.n.3372 I argue that GD has the best cast, while BL cast goes way back with each other the characters themselves are fine. Felix is uninteresting if I’m honest. While in GD I feel the cast of that house interacts with each other more often and have good chemistry, hilda/marianne for ex. Raph/Iggy, so on.
@@onewingedrobin253 I like GD they have the best cast if I’m honest even during the war they have good interactions with each while BL barely does much in the story, Felix is the main one who has the guts to keep it 100 to Dimitri’s face unlike the rest of the team
@abeefypig look, subjective is subjective so you're never gonna "win" an argument about subjective lol. As for me, the lions have the best chemistry because most of them have connections that stretch back years. Most of the deer do not, and it feels very forced at times. Felix isn't uninteresting at all. He's a great character. But the deer have very "flat" characters. The deer have Lorenz who is a great character but he makes a bad first impression and people dislike his academy design. Raphael who talks about meat and food 80% of the time. Marianne who has all of her support start out the same exact way (she's shy and nervous and everyone has to coax her out of her shell). Lysithea is the same where she comes off aggressive or rude or immature at first and all of her support involved her calming down. Not to mention that if you ask fans about their favorite characters in each house, Lorenz, Leonie, Raphael and Ignatz may as well not exist because nobody seems to like these characters in polls. They're the least liked students and most people only seem to like Claude, Hilda, Lysithea, and Marianne in the deer. Half the students are snubbed in the deer by most fans.

Avoid Tanking in 3H was so fun, Alert Stance was absolutely cracked ❤️ and yeah about the scene where Byleth gets Dimitri out of his head after Rodriguez’s death, I think a weakness of Byleth being silent + permadeath existing is that the writers don’t usually want characters who can die to say important things, so since everyone except Dimitri and Byleth can die, only they can be plot relevant in cutscenes, which sucks so much
@@joeyjose727 dodge tanking is quite fun to do but can get boring quite fast which I prefer defense over speed, with abilities like desperation, vantage playing that way is nice to get enemy phase builds. As for byleth getting Dimitri out, I imagine byleth having a locked in face while dimitri is scared for his life
Byleth and Dimitri are both absolutely broken units with the right builds, I’m pretty sure you could solo the whole run with either 🤣 that’s most of the reason why Azure Moon is my personal favourite route. Also I found Claude sorta boring and Edelgard outright villainous, so by comparison I enjoyed Dimitri’s arc much more.
I find claude to be the most fun unit to play out of the three he is quite good on maddening and spamming encloser is too broken as well. I havent played the other routes on maddening just yet but I will get to those soon. Edelgard on the other hand you just spam raging storm mostly and can ltc the maps really easily only issue is you gotta have a ton of umbral steels and her personal sucks.
Edelguard was kind of an irredeemable villain, so she was really not fun to side with. Dimitri is so freaking emo it is exhausting. For that reason I liked Golden Deers route the most.

@@abeefypig Judith or Nasir not being playable was a huge miss, especially since the other routes had Dedue/Gilbert and Hubert/Jeritza. Golden Deers didn't have a single unique character aside from Claude, and their plot really does feel like it falls apart as it goes. I quite liked 3 houses, but I also had my fair share of qualms with it too. I almost get the feeling that Catherine, Seteth and Alois were originally planned to be SS only, but that might just be me recognizing patterns in nature, lol.

Close counter was so broken for bows it never returned in engage lol
