Catherine girlfriend!, I made this casserole this evening and it's in the oven as I'm writing this. Of course I bumped mine up a little bit to the next level I always do with my recipes LOL 😄. I added leftover smoke turkey sausage that I had. I used garlic powder and onion powder in addition to the onions and salt and pepper. I also added the same spices to the melted butter just a little bit and then to the crushed up crackers I also added some crispy onions to the cracker crumb mixture, and they are garlic pepper salad topper from great value. I know this recipe is going to be absolutely delicious! I will get back to you and let you know how it turned out! Thanks for the recipe keep them coming! I have been making this casserole for over 40 years. The only thing I do different, is I grate the onion. This is so delicious with both Turkey and Ham.
Catherine I love all your dishes and I made this exactly the way you made and yes it was good but for me it was just a little dry for my taste so what I did was made another one and made it the same way and just added one more ingredient and that was one cup of milk made it really good but please keep up with what you are doing I love the videos
Good Sunday morning Catherine's Plates. Looks delicous. Reminds me of part of my special curated "Pen, Pasture nd Patch," combo: A braised 12 oz. pork belly, with a Teriyaki marinade, served next to a braised lamb shank. Top it off with fingerling potatoes and some heirloom tomatoes gently pan roasted in EVVOO for the sides. .
Looks really really good! I've never had one that didn't have rice in it, but I do believe that I'd like this one better. I may try one with asparagus and mushroom too. Thanks
Have to try this! I have a slightly different recipe for a cheese broccoli casserole. One thing that is different is the topping. On top of the casserole, I place croutons that have been tossed in melted butter. There’s a variety of flavors of croutons from which to choose, or you can just use plain. I also put cubed Velveeta into the casserole, not just on top. Makes a tasty cheesy sauce. I look forward to trying your recipe! A lot of veggies taste better with cheese on them! 🤣🤣❤️
I can't believe this recipe this is exactly how I make broccoli casserole only I always use cream of mushroom soup. Maybe I will try cream of celery sometime this is exactly how I make it down to the t! Absolutely wonderful thank you Catherine
