What's inside a differential, plus major diff cover fail!

So in many conversations, I find it interesting that so many people are scared of what is inside of a differential assembly. Well, I attempted to make a video here showing what is inside of a diff assembly, but had nothing but issues. I hope the basics come across, otherwise take it for what it is. An attempt. LOL

A note that I would add, when laying the bead of RTV/sealant, go around on the inside of the bolt holes on the housing. Also, you can use a couple of bolts through the cover to help line the cover b4 sticking it on.

Thanks Jeff for the intro. As a new Jeep owner, I really want to learn all about my Jeep’s components. I don’t necessarily want to do the repairs myself. But when the time comes to take it to get service, I’ll have a better idea what’s going on and will hopefully not be taken advantage of.
