The car won't run if it has an immobilizer, which is pretty much every car. You wouldnt need to do this with a Kia, you just need a screwdriver and and a USB cable which is far quicker

Work at a dealership or get a genuine auto locksmith, they dont pick your key cylinder. They have access to the key codes and can cut a key without touching the car. Have had 100's of key made, work at a dealership
