I know it's just snark, but the animation portion was a personal attack against me lol. I know it doesn't help that the category is always dominated by movies aimed at children/families.

Circling back to this video while watching the Oscar’s just to say that I can hear Louis’ jokes all throughout the show. I can hear a Louis joke from a mile away and I love it.

I’ve been agonizing over best costumes. Barbie seemed obvious since it draws so much attention to fashion (à la Phantom Thread and Cruella), but Poor Things has two elements Oscar voters love: period style and imagination. We’ll see!

Louis made fun of del Toro for saying animation is cinema, basically proving his point and being part of the problem. He’s an asshole.
You have garbage takes on animation. Animation is a valid art form. Boy and the Heron is amazing. Every one can enjoy animation.
Just like any art form, animated films are a preference. They’re allowed to like what they like, as are you.
Animation isn’t a genre it’s an art form and a form of film, just like live action. Writing off any animated film is just close minded and ignorant at best.

Why limit the mediums in which you enjoy art? Animation allows for some crazy and interesting visuals that live action can’t give. Watch Grave of the Fire Flies and tell me animation is just for kids lol

Bradley Cooper will be the biggest looser of the night. The portrayal of Bernstein in Maestro is sickeningly false. It's based on Bernstein's children, who have no idea what he was doing to damage classical music. I posted a video on my RUclips channel titled THE BERNSTEIN EFFECT that explains the collateral damage he caused to the arts. I studied with one of his friends, Ivan Davis, who also performed with him. I know other gay friends of his who tell a completely different story than is told in this movie. In both of my videos, I document how he ruined the way symphonies and concertos are performed. His teachings eliminated the development of processing variables in bigger and bigger batches, which destroyed the intellectual development of conductors, pianists and composers. This destroyed classical music as an art form and a business. Most of the classical recordings are now vanity records. Bernstein was a toxic force in the arts. Bad movie = bad night at the Oscars

There’s a difference between what you’re saying and what they, specifically Louis, clearly feels and said. He dismissed an entire art form which is just bullshit. Idk Louis dresses like Kim Possible all the time and Ira wrote a Marvel comic book and an animated series on Netflix called Q Force…. I think they were just making a joke out of the fact they don’t watch prestige animation which is okay!
