The pokemon shrink/grow, slide off into eternity, float, etc. And all this on a s23. Imagine this IP in the hands of the Genshin Impact devs or something. Could've been top of the line and filled with production value targeted towards better gameplay instead of AR gimmicks.

At this point, we shouldn’t be surprised anymore. They don’t prioritize security, (and they will never truly compensate a hacked account outside of famous RUclipsrs), and it seems that they think that the hacking spree is just another incident to sweep under the rug. People say the game won’t die, but if this absolute TRAVESTY continues, it’ll lose a good chunk of the paying playerbase, and I can’t blame a single one of them for leaving
QOL updates never make sense to me. I've had dynamic catch backgrounds for months but only had battle type effectiveness tips for like one day then it left. My second account has the new styles but not my main. Why can't they just update the game like everyone else.
as soon as I downloaded the new update, when I wanted to use the Buddy AR, it won't let me, as it says 'Unsupported device'and that ' it's unavailable for this device'. So far, because of this new feature, I can't take snapshots or play with my Buddy Pokemon because of this.

The AR thing is the worst for the daily incense. A player has to stay still to be able to catch a Pokemon in AR ‘cause the closer someone gets a Pokemon, the more likely it is gonna flee. So continuously briskly walking for the daily incense to be at its max spawn rate doesn’t work with AR ‘cause if you stop walking while trying to catch a Pokemon, then the spawns slow down. Besides other reasons for it being buggy, the simplest thing about the AR makes it not useful. They remind people to use their daily incense, but this game is big about the AR. I can kinda understand why a Pokemon would flee if a person got close to it in the real world. It just doesn’t help the daily incense spawn hardly any Pokemon if we use the AR correctly. That’s the main reason why I don’t use the AR and I didn’t like the fact of having to stop walking long before the daily incense info was leaked. Then learning how to maximize the daily incense just gets more and more players to turn off AR at least when they’re using the daily incense.
I cannot play Pokemon Go anymore on my old phone (Samsung Galaxy S7) since yesterday. Forced update, and then Google Play said not supported. Apparently android 8 is not allowed anymore.
The ONLY reason I believe in the theory that they know what they're doing is that the AR doesn't work with my buddy pokemon. BUT if I just go to my pokemon storage & click a pokemon to take a picture of it works just fine...🤨
The ar said its currently unavailable for me when I have a phone that's 3 years old.. its a samsung A12 but my iPhone 7.. works ar... I think it's a bug overall and they NEED to fix it. It's been a bug for a long time now I can't even earn hearts unless I use my iPhone 7 which for one was for my second account.. Niantic is truly going down hill.. feels bad cus unmotivated to play now and switch phones left and right.
i started my account yesterday and was greeted with the '`update to continue'` screen. clicked it and taken to play store where it says '`this phone isn`t compatie with this app.'' i have a samsung galaxy S7 that i have been using since I opened my account in 2017 sorry Niantic but i take good care of my phone equipment. yeah it is old but it has served me well over the many years.
Been playing on the fold 5 for a while, use 2 pokemon apps for 2 accounts for a while. Recently it's been crashing the apps a lot, mainly when completing routes and trying to span pokestops for the research. Very annoying
When it comes to your password to make things more difficult for hackers attempting to get into your account, use a longer password than normal with numbers and symbols included in it as well. Capitalize random letters in there as well.
All it takes is a brute force attack , longer passwords make the hacking process a bit longer that’s all. Also fishing websites and emails are used in modern day hacking to gain personal info for recovery emails and such . Best way to protect your account is 2 fa authentication. The honest truth is if someone with skills wants to hack your account it will happen and you can’t do anything about it unless you’re one of these content creators who have connections with niantic.

I've been so annoyed at AR ever since they dumbed down Lucario's (and I can only assume other pokemon) buddy animations to make it look so dumb and lifeless so this is just more salt to the wounds. Not like I was trying to get best buddy ribbons on my shinies or anything. Just standing there waiting for me to open its gift only to get an error/incompatibility message. Think about how much more annoying evolving something like a sylveon will be when you can't get the hearts for playing with your buddy or the gift hearts (especially in a rural setting)
For PVP masters, im currently at 41-37. Every set i either go 3-2 or 2-3 never fails. Once in a while ill break that cycle and go 4-1 and 2-3. But my team gets countered pretty good.
Im a Google Pixel user, im happy with it but i suspect theyre making it slower on purpose, weird things like the data turns off occasionally for no reason, and it works fine when i restart, and Pokemon Go destroys the memory so the app is restarting almost every time i minimize Its a pixel 6a, id say this or the 7a is the best value phone out there
It's not just Niantic, epic games security is trash. Had my account stolen 3 times. Last time I got back, epic said I broke TOS and banned my account permanently

Couple times my account will tell me I'm not me and then I'll have to go ours trying to log back in it will keep bringing me to returning player or new player and than when I put my account in it will tell me different things had to get a hold of Niantic and told them that it was me and then after I got my account back I immediately changed my info.

I have encountered a problem as well since I couldn't access buddy features for example I couldn't go into buddy AR it said buddy_phone_not_ar_capable An now it sais the phone isn't compatible
Long story short I as well as many other if we lost our account items/ mons. It would be hard to recover if at all let alone get what was stolen returned. We all agreed we would just never play the game again. I do hope they step up the security and of course reconnect to the players. It seems there are more research tickets nowadays than ever. Crazy bug hasnt been fixed it.. tho shadow raids are bugged and it took 3-4 weeks even niantic notice it and still not fixed it. only put system you get back unused gems, so i think you dont actually even get gems back XD This ar system prob gonna take also while to fix. First it take long time before niantic even notice any bugs cause 99% time any message people send on support stopped by bot who give answer. And secondly they dont really bother prio any fix update unless it greatly hurt their income of money

One of the accounts I had (family member stopped playing so I took it over) was stolen in February and Niantic have gone deaf dumb and blind.
