Thank you for taking the time to video your R1S Ocean Coast Interior. I have an R1S reservation, and I plan to go with the exact same interior and exterior. So, this was as a huge help for me.
Rivian's R1 interiors are so clean and uncluttered. Very nice designs. Far better than most of the the over-designed, busy interiors on other vehicles I've looked at recently. Ocean Coast looks great, and I can see why this owner chose it. My config is Forest Edge, which I find very attractive and subtle, and perhaps may or may not hide dirt a bit better than the OC.
great video. I still wish the original ocean coast with the light interior trims was possible, that really gives you a serene feel, but it is what it is.
Looks amazing! It would be great to have a white reference to show how dark it is, maybe like a sheet of printer paper or a color chart if you have one for white balancing :)
I'll try to remember to do that for my greater review. It is a super light gray, for sure, but it definitely looks like it COULD be white when you're outside of the vehicle looking in. Very classy look.
Wish you would do another video on the "house speakers" do you think they are better or worse... I think we lost 2 speakers in the 3rd row or something, did Rivian bring this up to you? did you get the plug in the frunk? I have almost the same build POH 2-2021... little over 2years.... When you picked it up did Rivian mention anything about production? I am suppose to be getting mine July-Sept of this year. Sorry for all the questions... Loved the video.
I have no experience with the Meridian system, so there is no way I could do a comparison. The only 12V in this R1S is in the way back. I had a full factory tour- the place was cranking out R1Ts and R1Ses like crazy with lots full of them ready for delivery.
Zero issues with expected range or charging itself. However, because there is no really straight route between Central Illinois and Raleigh, I had about 75 miles of extra driving to hit charging stations that just don't exist on the most direct route.
How was it you were able to pick it up in Normal and get a tour? I have asked about doing this with my Rivian Guide and he said they won’t let me. I’m in Nevada but you had a distance to travel too.
I'd flip that to say that RUclips has been less than friendly to TWANGnBANG, yes. lol Still have the channel, though I don't have the time to get to the range enough to generate videos for it. Even this channel is tough to keep going.

Rivian makes great looking vehicles. Sort of a an electric Range Rover. Hopefully we will get them in Europe some day.

This is the best interior and it doesn't get too hot when park in the sun compare to dark interior.

Might be because we don't have in-state delivery in NC in the first place, so I was just changing my out-of-state delivery location.
Can you fold the 2nd row all the way down & just stretch your legs sitting in the third row?

Yes, but it's a 2005 and much more marshmallow-like in handling than the R1S.

No. The rear view mirror is conventional. However, you can pull up the rear camera view on the dash anytime you want.
