- This island has a dirty secret... Plastic pollution on one of the most untouched places on earth. How did all this trash get here? It was brought here by the currents in the ocean. Yes, that's how we've treated our mother earth, and this video documents the problem. Please watch and share to promote banning single use plastic and recycling.

This has to be one of the finest pieces of work I have seen you guys do. You are both such good sailors who have balls of steel. You overcome such tough problems everyday like nothing. Not to mention that the videography of these opening scenes of the boat and the very unusual and remote island of Henderson. Did it stop there? No. Kimmie is now giving us a wonderful rundown of the geographic and volcanic history lesson in a very straightforward and interesting manner. Wow. Now I'm going to watch the rest. I'm only 7:39 in.
As you say, it is one of the most remote islands in the world and you guys are on it!. Henderson also has a raft of very exotic and very rare plant and animal life due to its position in the tropics becouse of the decent annual rainfall. It's true too that it has never been a popular island for civilisation but that is surely part of the draw. Despite the mounting rubbish crisis that the UK government fails to acknowledge, it is still a beautiful paradise and you folks are lucky to be there. Subscribed.

This video made it hard to decide if I should give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down. The video is great and really worth a thumbs up(what I eventually clicked), but the plastic situation on this island is more a thumbs down. Very sad to see that there`s no spot left on this planet without any plastic polution. However, keep on doing what you do, always love to watch your videos. Greetings from Germany! I was cleaning the bird sanctuary near San Pedro a while back and the cops jacked me up for being there.

Kim and James, you are so very right about plastic pollution may it be on land or sea, the responsibilities of consumers and producers alike, and the necessity to force industries to use alternative, sustainable, environmentally friendly materials, and help to clean the environments from these unnecessary but ever-so destructive waste of 'civilization'.

There are actually some centuries old Japanese swords that thirst for blood and cry out when they are removed from their
scabbards. My weapon is considerably less martial and cries out for Kimmi to sheathe it when it is ready for action.

You are quite correct, we all live on this little piece of rock in space and we all have to live on it together with all of this rubbish we are not recycling.
We need to pick up our act and sort this out now, not only plastics though, i tackle lead from fisherman and haul heaps of that out of the rivers and ocean along with plastics, it is getting really bad.

James. Those motors are simple but a pain. Check your coil to see if it’s putting out enough spark. Also those carburetors are a pain. They are like chainsaw motors and those carbs warp inside. Make sure that impeller for the water pump gets changed once a yr. spark plug change with correct gap also. That’s pretty much it. Just trying to help ya brother. I just soaked a carb on a small outboard and it didn’t solve the problem. Have to dig further ,I’m guessing coil. You can find all the specs online and look for the resistance reading for coil on RUclips or specs. I always wanted to go to Pitcairn after seeing The Bounty with Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins in 1984. You two are living the dream! Thanks for the videos!

It is time to rethink the waste that we human produce. Most of it that single use plastic that companies create for packaging . And those companies become richer and richer whereas the earth get dirtier and filthier . Its time that those plastic producing companies are taken responsible and we human realize that this can no longer go on like this. It is 5 past noon.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. The intro shots can rival any Hollywood production. No other sailing channel I watch have this kind of quality if you match the beauty of what is shown with the technical aspect. They are excellent story tellers and their productions are both educational and informative. If it where not for these two, I would not have been able to lay eyes on Henderson Island. Sure there is an article on the Guardian about the plight of Henderson Island but I only found it AFTER watching this video. Excellent job!
