About the Will Smith one, there is something to be said about an artist simply using their name as their rap name (Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Denzel Curry, etc.). It exudes a type of confidence that I admire that the music they’re putting out is an unfiltered representation of them.
It also helps if you’ve got a cool name which makes Will Smith’s choice even more impressive in confidence because his name is generic. He could have stuck with The Fresh Prince.
