I like the contact paper idea. However, since you already had the glass, you could have just used that as the whiteboard! Just tape or glue the paper onto the back of the glass and use the glass as the writing surface. No contact paper needed and you get a scratch resistant writing surface.

The only issue there is the ugly border on the glass. This idea creates a clean look, but if the glass was totally clear then yes

While DIY whiteboards after not new (I don't think they either were when you made the video), your demo is super cool. Subbed!

Wouldn't it be safer to use a piece of wood or thick cardboard? I'd be afraid the glass would break if it was dropped.

~takonderoga? Is that what you called a pencil?

“Ticonderoga”. It’s a brand of pencil (the gold standard for a classic #2, imo). It’s named after Ticonderoga, New York - which is famous for its role in the American Revolutionary War, and the home of a flawless reproduction of the Enterprise sets from Star Trek.

If you leave the dry erase marker on for a long period of time... it will not simply wipe off.

Then draw over the current dry erase marker with new stuff and it will erase!

AWESOME! but where would I find glass similar or like this glass in the video?

so you take a piece of glass which is already superior to whiteboards because it erases way smoother and then you downgrade it to a regular whiteboard? why???? just make one side of the glass white and write directly on the glass from the other side. or put the glass behind a white wall, and you're there. easier and a way better result
