There actually is bass in the mix if you listen very carefully, I would guess that Lucas Mann or the other guitarist records the bass parts, it could be it costs less to tour around if they have one less member, and that's why they don't have a bass player (it also could be that they don't find the bass significant enough to have an actual bass player.)

Yes. It's very much a "musician's" kind of music. Music theorist giz their pants when intricate stuff is played and played well. I dont know music theory but I still like it from time to time. It grows on you
Technical death metal isn't for everyone, changing time signatures, tempos and complicated riffs for me are so fun to listen to and even better to see live. fair point on the "Mario metal" Comment I can understand how it sounds like that. However they use this sound to give their guitars an alien sound, I mean its pretty unique for death metal, you don't really hear this sound much other than power metal.

Was an amazing song! love the use of the new 9 string by Lucas was incredible. Great things to come from this band and i cant wait.
