Also if you want to spend an afternoon with your family or just walk and ride a bike, Piedmont Park would be the ideal alternative. If you want something more radical and away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Lake Lanier is highly recommended, many tourism magazines give very good references of the place.

I live in ATL. I would definitely recommend the zoo and to some degree of the aquarium. Definitely not six flags. Mostly good suggestions - not sure why the narrator sounds so robotic and script reading? Ugh. As with any large city, be observant and cautious but have fun.
