I did the hike up stone mountain today for the 1st time ever. It was pretty rigourous. Not impossible, but it definitely felt like an accomplishment when I reached the top.
Good job, it is a tough climb 👍 I hope you continue to go on hikes 😊
Mine was today
@@jermainebrown7533the first time i climbed it i forgot to bring water and i almost collapsed at the top and my legs were shaking a lot
That 90's movie fled was filmed around atlsnta area near stone mountain that fight seen.and the bike seen
It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Stone Mountain. Great tips of everything to do! Our kids would definitely love the snow tubing! -S
The laser show is something I didn't expect to see at all, but it was great
It's an all-encompassing, family-friendly tourist attraction
It is awesome
I go thare all the time
Hooray for Dixie !!
Imagine building call centers travel agencies and amusement parks and tech center there
อยากไปอีก❤❤❤
Any comments on the bird trail ? Thanks
I ascended and descended Stone Mountain on foot with a traumatic brain injury, cane, and a lidt of excuses larger than I can write. Army basic training wore me out about the same as climbing up stone mountain
Deo Vindice!
I went there three times and I went on the boat
The laser show is best on the 4th of July
Fun stuff, thanks for sharing! What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
Can you do a video about fishing , where to fish , good spots and where is it Ok to to fish , I never been there but when I checked the map its all golf courses or evergreens where no one allowed to fish.
Yes I would want to know about this as well and can we take what we catch home and no one get pissed at us fro catching more than them LOL
The sky cart is worth the financial toll; unless you are super fit and love the feeling of being ultra worn out.
Some of the carvings are cut as deep into the stone as gig as a full size school bus.
Hmmm... nice trip idea.
Thanks for watching! We're glad to know that you love our video. If we may ask, what other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
The place in the video that the narrator called Pie-Bytes is actual a place called Georgia Café. I would love to know if the Georgia Café is still at stone mountain
How many days does the kids need to do everything in the park?
Already been
Deliverance and that 90's movie fled wwas filmed at stone mountain location towards the end in fight seen and the bike chase
Ok so does the $59.95 include all attractions or is there another price ahead?

And if we buy a one day pass can we upgrade later to an annual pass.?
Yes and the annual pass is 40 bucks
What about boat peddling?
No it's non existent at the park now
I did this in EUROPE in.scotland
Bring sunscreen for your skin will regret ever seeing the sun at all like mine did after a day of nit knowing how much closer you are to the sun on top of stone mountain. The veiw from it's peek made me feel like I was seeing another planet and insignificant in comparison size wise and grateful to be a part of it. Maybe like an ant crawling up a house to the roof to finally stand on top and see how small the yard looks
i have lived in ga for all my life. i was told back in the fifties that the man who owned the mt traded it for a shot gun .this was very long ago, ot sure if its true but thats what we were told when i was small. look for the pot marks on the rock surface caused by lighting strikes ..
Interesting, thanks for sharing this info! What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
Those holes were not caused by lightening. They are called panholes. They are caused by a combination of mechanical weathering, erosion and chemical weathering by organic acids. Look it up on Wikipedia. They look similar to a riverine feature known as a pothole, but they are also different.
Hmm, that's odd. What does the carving signify and when was it completed?
I can only make an educated assumption but Georgia is in the south, apart the Confederate States of America who wanted to keep slaves, and the Klan was recently banned from Stone Mountain Park’s grounds so one could assume the carving represented confederacy pride
Also it was completed in 1972
it looks really cool🤡🤡
Yes let’s all celebrate Georgias hateful and racist history. You people are sick
It signifies racism and the south's failed attempt to preserve the enslavement of black Americans.
Are dogs allowed in stone mountain park?
Yes but they must be on a leash
True@@tecraman8100
Nahh I’m good 🙃
😂😂😂
sad they desecrated it with imagery of cowardly traitors
And ugly depictions of horses. These look scared and in pain. My other theory is that they were created using carcasses for models.
The village was nice 30 yrs ago. Now its a ghetto. I will never go back.
Good, stay away.
It's not ghetto, it's basically the same as it was back in 92
Stone mountain ? You crawled with drug addicts hobos gangbangers and weirdos no way
Damn they made murder mountain look nice, my girlfriends family is originally from there and let me just say..........................
Are you still typing? A year long story to finish your incomplete sentence should be EPIC!
That carving is UGLY. The horses don't look excited, they look scared and in pain, or possibly designed using dead horses for reference. There aren't 5 flag poles on the mountain anymore. There are 3 and space where the other 2 used to be.
Stop 🛑 😂
Why are the Union enemies still attraction? that mountain need to be blown up and recarved
We like history. It’s staying
@@AntiNWO1776 so, we do honor domestic enemies after all?
@@donaldwilliams5609 we honor BLM so yes
@@AntiNWO1776history is for the history books
Why, it’s history and explain exactly why the confederacy was so bad in your opinion and explain the union. Explain both of their histories and agendas?👌🏾Yoi do know there were black confederate generals right not mentioned?
Wow so cool a carving with three racists 👏😅
It sure is beautiful there but I can’t with the confederates
Black kids playing under the largest and most popular confederate monument in the nation. Irony.
Yeah it's a disgusting message. Fortunately someday it will be changed, they'll get rid of the ignorance one way or another.
@@amuletfpv3959 Yeah let's just ignore history so we can make the same mistakes right?
They should carve their own mountain.
I’m still trying to wrap my mind around why are domestic enemies monumental? Black kids attending slave owners/killers monument’s
@@ronijr4918history is for the history books
Why in the world is this mountain
desecrated with images of confederate soldiers?
Same reason Mount Rushmore was, over time the carving will be eroded away though so good news
@@jam2727 it will be eroded when not one gives a shit about race of the civil war lol
@@marvinbrewer8637 Next time you comment, make sure it makes sense and not like a nine year old wrote it
@@jam2727 stone mountain will be eroded when no one gives a shit about race and slavery or the American civil war.
