Obviously people have been doing this for thousands of years, and a wild hog was no different then than they are today. Y'all kaynt ged'it no fresher 'n' that. Very nice. Well done, and thank you.
I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. It is very helpful. Thank you. I have a question though. How do you dispose of the unused portions of the carcass? If you get more than a few hogs at a time, would it become a sanitary problem? Keep up the good work!

I've heard that wild hog can be infected with all sorts of parasites and diseases and therefore, you don't want to eat it. Now obviously back in the day, people on the frontier would eat just about everything they could hunt and kill. I want to know how you know it's safe to eat. Is it best to make it into jerky?
I do all of my own wild game butchery. You threw away a lot of good meat off of that pig. The ribs, inside loins, all of which would take min's to get. That was a waste, but each their own.
