💥 Jim Morrison (December 8, 1943 - July 3, 1971) was an American singer, songwriter, musician and poet, who was the lead singer of the rock band the Doors. Due to his wild personality, poetic lyrics, distinctive voice, unpredictable and erratic performances, and the dramatic circumstances surrounding his life and early death, Morrison is regarded by music critics and fans as one of the most iconic and influential frontmen in rock history. Since his death, his fame has endured as one of popular culture's most rebellious and oft-displayed icons, representing the generation gap and youth counterculture. Morrison was a man who was spectacularly good at being a rock star - a lithe figure in leather trousers, prophesying about death, sex and magic on some of the biggest hits of the 1960s - Light My Fire, Break on Through and Hello, I Love You. But he was catastrophically bad at the rest of life. Like many alcoholics, he could be reckless, selfish and mercurial. This channel is sponsored by Gift Shop For Guys T Shirts With Quotes? Robbie Krieger told a hilarious story when they were just beginning to practice their music in venice before they played at the whiskey. Robbie and Jim went to a cafe in venice and there were 2 jarhead marines sitting at the table across from them. Jim was talking shit about them and robbie was laughing. Soon the jarheads were staring at them and robbie got nervous and told jim "hey, I think we're about to get jumped. Soon as jim and robbie got up to leave, the jarheads followed them outside. One punched robbie in the eye and the other had Morrison by the hair banging his head against the cafe window. According to robbie, Jim had a great big smile on his face as if he was enjoying it.
@@HistoryandNostalgiaChannel Morrison is what you call a provocateur. Manager Bill Siddons said that he would find a way to piss you off and just laugh about it because you were being real.
I was watching an old documentary of The Doors from 1997 & during the documentary, it was said that Jim told his bandmates that he was gonna be #3 following the deaths of Janis Joplin & Jimi Hendrix. I don't know about you. But I think he either knew or at the very least, had a feeling that his time was soon coming to an end.
He was just getting over syphilis before he left for France!! And getting over jumping out of a window. He was in bad health before leaving. Watch the French documentary. Apparently Pam and Jim lead separate lives in France. She’d come and go when she needed money. She was seeing some rich French bloke, who was with Marianne Faithful.
I really doubt he passed in a night club stall. I think he od'd at home and he was probably drunk and that's a deadly combo coupled together. I think he probably tried heroin that night for the first time or he may of just started snorting the drug a few weeks before but he was a newby and like many newbies it was too strong so he drew a bath in an attempt to stay awake and not drift off to sleep and eventual death. Pam felt guilty cause she was probably trying to stay awake so he wouldn't drift off from him getting sick from the drug and that's why she felt responsible for his death. If he passed in the nightclub I doubt they would of went through the trouble of undressing him and placing him in the tub. They would of been panicked and through him in clothes and all. We will never know what happened and we really don't know how he passed. One thing is for certain is our hero isn't here anymore but at least we still have his tunes to groove on. Cheers

An interesting tale indeed👍

@@justinscrivner5457 Great comment Justin! I totally believe this to be correct.
Well this was certainly news to me.
Okay, I get it. I think!🙂
Important to note.. he had a genius IQ. That helps to put his personality into context. He was reading Nietzsche as an early teen. That says a lot.
Great point. Totally agree with your comment. Jim was definitely an intellectual. Extremely well read. A very introspective and intelligent man.

I think I may have watched the same documentary Thomas! Yes, Jim seemed to have premonitions about his death. RIP Jim Morrison
Rebellious ❤
RIP Jim Morrison 🙏

I agree. Jim was not okay in many areas of his life by the time he arrived in Paris.

There are many theories surrounding Jim's passing. I'm not sure we will really ever know the full story Jorge... great comment. Much appreciated
Too bad he was an alcoholic.
Yes, very sad… he left this world far too young
He was a sloppy drunk.
Enough already.
He did like a bit of drink now and again...
And he lost many people who would have been close and supportive to him because of his alcoholism.
@@sr2291 I agree. Shame there was no one around who could stop him from his decline.
@@HistoryandNostalgiaChannel No one did that back then. His friends just accepted him the way he was.
