This video with the drums in the background reminded me of that 70 recording sound of the snares leaving their mark on the recording! I just unpacked mine. Late to the party! I love it! I think first I'll midi it to the sh4D. I'm also excited to find out how the Waldorf Waves and the microfreak Waves do with it.
@@MrCcfly Hardware and software have different use cases. The VSTs you're talking about don't have the ease of use that comes from having several tactile knobs with dedicated functions. To achieve that, you'd need a separate MIDI controller and lots of time to assign the parameters. At that point, the free VST isn't really free anymore. Also, I'm not going to lug my PC to a gig just so I can use it for a soft synth.
I enjoyed every minute of this, especially as someone who is relatively new to the hobby. You gave me several interesting inspirations and I feel like I got a impression of the instrument. Thank you! After reading other comments: Is this community really that toxic and fucked up as it looks? If so, I hope you dont care too much about the bad apples on a personal level. On the business side you don't notice them anyway I bet ;)
You never know with this synth whether it will stand the test of time like the original gaia or a korg microkorg classic. My money at the moment is on paying a little extra for a sequential take 5 (poor person’s prophet), as the next best value classic.
Another demo playing fusion funk or jazz or classical types of music. PLEASE play others styles of music like electronica, make some discordant hard sequences, give us some more filter sweeps. And again, please less synth funk. It makes up about 70% of a style of music on your demos. Thanks.
Agreed. Zero musicality in the playing I’m afraid. Makes it hard to evaluate an instrument when the person demoing it obviously doesn’t care enough to play something decent.
I didn't read the comments before finishing the video, and this is EXACTLY what I was about to write! The first thing that came to my mind when listening the first example was "Jazz". A great program that could sound insane with a Jazz line, but poorly played here.
With electronica, random sequencer pushing, and no real keyboard playing making up the majority of RUclips synth videos, Andertons is one of the few places you can hear a synth or keyboard being played by actual musicians.

huh why?
Because his knuckles are already swollen...
@@geoffwebber8272 is that because of the playing style or something? Im wondering if playing the keys can lead to arthritis?

Nice synth but the Roland cloud thing is a massive joke.

“Better” to whom?
Entirely subjective.
