I just got my amazing Roland Gaia 2. So I just did a quick unboxing and soundcheck on it.
I find it very nice, although it´s a bit far away from my original Gaia, but I still like it. Its a great synth :-)

I am sure this synth will be even greater when you will make your own presets! I personally like to start from scratch every time :)

I just saw that the GAIA 2 had hit the market... I saw a couple of days ago our dear Dr. Mix unboxing his GAIA 2 - I had just decided to finally run and buy myself a GAIA (the real GAIA) GAIA 2 is surely a POWERHOUSE of a synth, think about all the new effects, sequencers, filters and so one... Looking forward to hearing more from you Glenn when you have become more familiar with your new "synth friend GAIA 2 " In the meantime, GAIA the origin will probably be MY new friend 🤔 Okey my friend THANK YOU FOR inviting us into "your playground" 👍 Keep it up!
Oh yes 😃 The GAIA (1😊) is a great Synth , and I’ve had it since release day.. but I was so happy to see the GAIA 2 .. and when I discovered the new sounds I was really blown away 😃😃😃

Before I saw the video from sonic lab my initial thought about GAIA2 was:" Just another one ." After watching I realized that its remarkably complex. If I had space I'd definitely give it a try. Besides its beautiful, has so many knobs & a touch pad I really love (f. e. on my KORG Z1). I totally imagine GAIA2 as a satisfying & rewarding ediiting-exoerience.

I can see the presets ruining it for Roland... bland and unflattering! You exploring the sounds made more justice to the synth! Not that bad. The thing is that so much different from Gaia One... it's more of Hydra from Roland! Thanks man great review!

The original Gaia is my favorite poly VA synth of all time. The only fault with it is the aliasing particularly in the upper octaves. The only sound I wanted to hear from you was the raw oscillators of the Gaia2 in all octaves to see if we get higher quality oscillators with the Gaia2. If yes, the Gaia2 will be a great addition to the Gaia, but the Gaia2 can never replace the Gaia, for the Gaia is one-of-a-kind. The Gaia2 is more of a traditional synth with wavetable, basically a MinilogueXD with 7x the voices in digital because digital is the only way we are getting 24+ voices.

The question is have Roland delivered you something you will do a love letter video to in a few years like you have the Gaia 1? That video was excellent and makes me hope the prices on the Gaia 1 go down a little so I can pick one up to setup next to my Deepmind 12, Minilogue XD, SH-4d, and Microfreak. In all seriousness - thanks for making so much useful content Glenn. I bought an MC-707 based on your videos recreating classic songs I play in my 80s tribute band. Once I got the hang of it myself after attending the free Roland Cloud Academy sessions and re-watching your videos about 100x it has become second nature to me.

If you get your hands on the Gaia Sh-01 I would definitely recommend it. And it would be a nice fit to your already great setup. I am sure that the Gaia 2 will also be a classic and iconic synth in the Roland lineup…. But.. I ha to say that the GAIA Sh-01 (Gaia 1) will always stand out as one of my favourite synths of all time no matter what 😃😃😃😃

A really nice sounding synth, just a shame that the design was so forgettable 😢 Roland always were known for their stand out colourful designs that caught our eye. Oh how I regret selling my Juno 6 !
Oh.. the Juno 6 was (is ) a legend.. and yes, they used to be a bit more colourful, but the Nuno. Is a very “Jino 106 lookalike “ 😃😃
