India - Mother Teresa's funeral

Tens of thousands of people have gathered outside the small house in Calcutta where Mother Teresa was buried after a state funeral on Saturday (13/09). Mother Teresa was laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Mother House, where she had lived and worked. The burial service was private and simple, lasting only just a few minutes. At a signal from inside the house Gurkha soldiers fired a 32-round rifle salute and the last post sounded as Mother Teresa was finally lowered into her grave.
