  • This is one of the special double collar wrenches which makes them really smooth to use and even speedier then a normal speed wrench. it also has a wide and flat top handle which some people prefer to the narrow ones that some other brands use.

Wahoo, first one! Great review, Ty. I've never really used speed wrenches. My dad had a PROTO unit back in the day, he used it occasionally (with palm atop the wheel). (Donno what happened to it, unfortunately.)

I have the Craftsman speed handles at home in both 3/8" and 1/2" drive that I inherited from my father and neither have the collar, but have the knob handle at the end. I have newer (15 years old) Snap-on speed handles in 1/4" and 3/8" drive at work that I use to run down bolts on intake manifolds and valve body bolts and then use a torque wrench to finish. That why is saves you from having come backs.

Thanks for another great video brother.
Do you have any of the "new" Craftsman V series tools?
I have a 3/8" and a 1/2" of the old USA speed wrenches.
I have not seen anyone do a review on the V series. They seemed to be a decent tool but the last time I was in Lowes I didn't see any on the shelf.
    Stay strong brothers.

Hello again Catus Maximus and Tiny
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 The Craftsman handled is also used for leverage in the shoulder. For instance in aircraft panels can be placed on top of a wing or the bottom of the wing. As well as many other places where leverage is needed. Again thank you 😊

I had that exact same speed wrench. I preferred my Grandfather's old Husky speed wrench.

I have had my EE series since around 1983 and have never used it.

I had a similar Craftsman speed wrench with that handle but the chrome just crack and was sharp. I warrantee it and got a thin handle replacement which I hate. I should have just lived with the sharp chrome plating. I use that wide handle against my chest when I take the dash apart. Works well. Much faster than a ratchet. Now I have to look for another speed ratchet with the wide handle.

I love my speed handle. Doesn't need to be recharged, doesn't need a cord or a hose.

I have the Snap On version of this… great for lug nut installation.

Oh man, I have no idea what happened to my Dad's super speed wrench now that I think about it. I should have grabbed it as we were clearing up my parents' estate.
