    Forget the truck benefits, I brought it for a 06 3500 sprinter van and it drives like a dream. No sway, better than upgrading shocks or sway bar

    Hey! As a carpenter I need to call out your measurement! Even a slight bend in your tape is going to significantly alter your measurement! BTW, I bought the RAS to assist dragging my toyhauler... and I can say from experience, these are superior over air bags, Cheers!

    Does it raise the back end of the truck when not loaded, if so what can you do to avoid that from happening. I tow my travel trailer only once or twice a year.

    Appreciate this video. I have a Ford F-150 as well and have been looking at this kit for it. Great to see how easy they are to put on. Thanks.

    I can’t believe that truck has drum brakes. Haven’t seen those in a while

    • @davidgold5961
      @davidgold5961 Год назад +1

      Drum brakes are still viable for the rear. Rear disc brakes are liable to having gravel and sand thrown up from the front wheels and the rest of the suspension and the under body of the vehicle while driving. Drum brakes are immune to getting foreign matter in them. Considering the fact that due to the weight shift forward under braking, the rear brakes only do about 35% of the work.

    Will it mess with the wheel alignment? It looks like that thing is pulling back on the axle. What if it doesn’t pull evenly on both sides at the set adjustment?

    Hello! Spring adjustment should be done on loaded or unloaded suspension? Thanks.

      Hi Maksim, spring adjustment should be done with truck in the air/axle hanging free.

    How does this compare to Air bags?

    • @neilkick7742
      @neilkick7742 8 лет назад +1

      +Jahmel nelson Air bags can be a pain to up-keep. There are a lot of components that can fail. With these they do just as much if not more and do not require adjusting as the mechanic shows. They can cost a little less than air bags as well.

      What about using WITH air bags? Or in use with spring bars on the hitch? 08 Dodge 3500 single rear.

    1 inch really and how much is this kit $450 airbags for me

    • @EGGINFOOLS
      @EGGINFOOLS 4 года назад +1

      Air bags don't compare to these. Air bags ride rough when aired up and these act as an airbag and a thicker sway bar in one. Plus the ride is better than stock. Handling is much improved.

      @@EGGINFOOLS Do these keep the truck from squatting or just the ride?

    • @EGGINFOOLS
      @EGGINFOOLS 4 года назад +1

      @@sslusshyYes it helps support the load and not squat. They specifically state it doesn't add to the capacity, only helps control the load your truck is rated for better. I love mine so far.

    • @TheJcrandazzo

      Air bags much cheaper and will perform better in ride quality. If concerned about axle wrap ie drag racing the springs may have an advantage. Otherwise the air bags wins in all other categories.

    This does nothing to increase payload specs.. Stiffens the spring action so bottoming will be minimized and will help axle wrap. Will not stabilize sway .Increased ride height is due to tightening the arc degree of the springs. Air bags will also raise height , but prevent a stiffer ride but airlines and rubber may need checking from time to time as well . Spring tension will also need checking. Pricewise for adjusting ride height the air bags wins. Drag racing axle wrap may be of concern and then the spring tension may be the winner.

      Buddy, the active suspension does reduce sway. What are you, on the board of an airbag company? Stop declaring stuff that youre wrong about.
