One thing I've learned from watching Patrick's videos is that when men who have been in the RV/camping/van business for many years build their OWN van, it's worth paying attention to what they have done with their van. Because of their expertise, they know the best way to do things and the best products to choose. Nothing beats years of experience.
And there is always great input from their partners.
Thanks Patrick ! Jim is a great guy and has built a great business. They had done a lot of work on my truck chassis before i drove it to Canada to have overland explorer complete the build. I lived in NJ approx . 35 min from jim's store for all my life @ now 66yrs. I am now Nomadic livin my best life full time in my truck. I met with Jim last yr. at Overland Expo west in Flag , AZ sept. 2021. I hope to see him again next week @ XPO west in Flag, AZ ~peace~
Thank you for the comment and the support. Your rig sounds awesome
Recording in the rain as if its not there. Now that is commitment.
Like the retracting step. And love the shower. I was curious about the bed.
And nice to see Alucab.
Thank you very much. We were all set up and it started sleeting. It stopped once we finished
Love the van, with the exception of the seemingly wafer thin bed mattresses.
WOW. What a van! it's always interesting to see what experienced professionals put in their own builds. Thanks Patrick
Glad you enjoyed this one Erin
Patrick this van is beyond words to describe how excellent it looks and was built.
I thought he was taking ideas from George. Would like to know how the shower pan was made. Was the floor raised around it?
I have been looking for a bed like that. The floor plan works good.
For me I would like more windows.
Glad you enjoyed it. I believe the floor was slightly raised around the Corian shower base. It was made by the same folks that do countertop work
Great van build by a true professional!I Jim's experience is evident and much appreciated. Love the color scheme too.
Thank you very much for the feedback and support
This is amazing! What great design & quality!! Also a great tour. As always, thank you Patrick!!
Jim is a legend in the 4WD community
Great video. Enjoyed learning that the Rixen system can keep van warm using the 120VAC heat option. That is what I want in my next van so I don't have to winterize it.
Glad it was helpful
Thanks Patrick
Always Enjoy Your Van Build Videos !!
Thank you very much for the support. I spend a lot of time doing this as a hobby outside of my regular career and cycling
IT LOOKS like Chad's from livin the van life !!
Chad @livingthevanlife does have a very similar van
Wow you guys could see that design very unique.
All that work over the years has paid off. Happy travels!
Thank you very much
I like this van, , the toilet, is the best so far. Thank you.
It’s really a good idea. The best part is it doesn’t look like a toilet
I love this van!!
Me too
Very nice. Love the bathroom area.
DIY you say? Hahaha. Still a great video. Definitely a pro-build.
They are not van builders and they did an awesome job
What is the special coagulant that he puts in the toilet and where can it be purchased at. Thank you and as always we enjoy your videos.

Can you share a link for the GMRS radio mount? The plastic frame for it if you will. Thanks,
Check out on www.okay4wd.com
Love this van, I know that including shower in short van is the most Difficult and costly part Except for the electrical system, but it is so necessary. The only thing a would change is more windows to enjoy the view
Thank you for the feedback Paul
Can you put up a link for that toilet please?

Nice rig. I'm confused, if it's a Sprinter why does the badging say Freightliner?
Mercedes Benz offered them for sale at Mercedes Sprinter dealers and select Freightliner dealers. The badging determined where warranty and parts work would get done
How can I find and capture for myself the: GREEN WRAP toilet???
The Wrappon Green is available on www.okay4wd.com
Awesome adventure van. Is the Freightliner Sprinter made by MB?
Yes, it is!
NJOA,, PATRICK,Hello, ASK JIM, WHY his home is registered as a COMMERCIAL VEHICLE,,ITS THE ONLY ONE I EVER SAW, but he certainly did a wonderful job, + getting his wife’s wishes ,
BTW, are they still have MB FREIGHTLINER VANS ? Take care, thanks for showing ! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I believe it’s registered to the business
I was surprised how unattractive the interior is. 🙁No A/C? That table looks too tall to be comfortable.
i love the interior. It's not all white wood and shiplap but it is very cosy and fastidiously put together.
Everyone has different taste and ideas. Although it’s not for you, many will line to look including me.
I didn’t care for it, either. The beds seemed like an afterthought. 80/20 is trendy right now and seemingly used everywhere. And if I am going to have a rig to be used east of Denver, and especially one that’s six figures, it’s going to have A/C. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t. At any rate, that wasn’t built for me, so my opinion is moot. The craftsmanship was first rate, however, as was Patrick’s video.
Can this haul an rv? How many mpg does this get? Tia
It can tow up to 5000lbs and a 500lb hitch weight. This gets about 20mpg
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures wow 20 mpg? That's amazing is it hybrid electric or just gas? Thanks
@@jonathanmichael915 neither, it’s diesel
This guy is not using this. He's a youtube sales man.
Nice build - but, how the heck can two people sleep in that bottom bunk - impossible.
Each bunk is meant for one
$1,600 CAD?
Strange layout and details
Why are the details strange?
Long list but since you asked…dark van, to me it looks like a storage room, not a recreational vehicle. Seems like it would be uncomfortable, not fun to spend time in there. One detail that is odd is the edge on the pull out table, hard to use a table with an edge…these comments are based on my design experience and personal preference, no offense to the creators. Everyone should build as they please if it’s for their own use. 😊
This van looks uncomfortable for a husband and wife, especially with bunk beds.
They really enjoy it
Strictly camper. No room for clothes really.
There is plenty of room in the roof locker
Lavishly built but poorly designed. Waste of space
What would you do differently?
