Just when I thought I knew how to bind! Thank you very much! I think I will practice on a few table runners first!

I like this method and will try it on my quilt this weekend as it is going in to a show in September. I really like the fact the miters are sewn up so neatly. Thanks

That's the best part of this I think. I always struggled sewing the mitered seams neatly.

That technique is so interesting, I'm going try it sometime soon! Unless my quilt is really special, I attach to the back and machine sew the to front, but it seems like this could work for that? Another reason to connect binding strips diagonally is to distribute the seam bulk along the diagonal instead of in one lump, but stripes can be tricky if you want them to line up. Striped bindings are my favorite! Your quilt is beautiful, and finished, yay! 😊

Thank you! You absolutely could use the technique by sewing your binding strips to the back first. Make a small practice quilt and give it a try first before you do your special quilt. I agree, it does distribute the bulk when done diagonally.

Great job Jodi, looks a lot neater for the mitre corners this way!

Well, I can't say that I totally understand this. My quilts will never be show bound (no pun intended). I think I need to stand right behind you to get this method of binding the corners. I'll have continue to blind stitch my corners closed. I'd like to give it a try on an exggerated large mockup corner. (wish you could demonstrate it that way!) 😄Thank you for showing how you do this.
